I was playing around with a storage shed on my SSP world and I think I've found a slight change to water physics.
Okay, I tried to put a endless water thingo in my roof, using signs to suspend it. I'm pretty sure, but water created and endless spring as long as it was 1 block deep and 2x2, with water placed in opposite corners.
Now, I placed my water, blahblah, but it wouldn't create an endless spring. So I replaced the signs with dirt and then replaced them after creating the endless spring, and it stopped.
Now, my understanding is that this used to work?
tl;dr
Does this work for an endless water spring?

Not able to check the code at the moment, but that spider web in the image is displayed in the same cross format as flowers are. I know the spider web was in the terrain.png in 1.4_01, doubt it spawns naturally in 1.5 though. If I had to guess, he just changed the image id for a flower to the spider web image id, possibly by accident. I believe the ids for red flowers and the web are only 1 apart.

Wrong forum, but meh.
You might want to check that it's the right minecraft.jar
You have the launcher one on your desktop usually, and another in your home folder.
Go to your home folder, Press CTRL+H to show hidden folders, open ".minecraft" and then bin > minecraft.jar
Open that with archive manager, and the armor folder should be in there.
Also, please change the title to [Move this thread please?]
or [Ignore/Delete Please] if I answered your question. :3
I personally seal all passage ways to 30 blocks and under with doors.
As long as you remember to close doors you'll be fine.
Now for mining at that level...
I noticed slimes don't spawn on transparent blocks such as half blocks.
You might want to go ahead and layer the bottom of your cave system with half blocks to make sure no mobs spawn.

I know they spawn in a cave a bit off, so I'm just gonna circumvent that.
Also, some slimes hurt you, some don't.
Not really sure what the specifics are, but I've been getting hurt by some tiny/normal slimes.
I've got a pet slime called Slimey (Original, I know.)
And he doesn't hurt me. His friend that followed him, did. I can't actually kill Slimey, but the other one died just fine.
This is all SMP by the way.
On my smp server I found a cave that spawns slimes :3
For some reason I can't break the medium ones, and they don't hurt me.
They ARE medium slimes, they don't fit through doorways.

Was put into 1.5
(Off topic, but if you actually look at all the little things that were put in 1.5, it actually was a pretty good update)

It's just the signs doing it.
Nice try though.

That web is on sand.
Probably a cactus texture.

That just means it died.
Guys, any good ways of getting rid of slimes on smp?
My mine is sort of infested.
