No need to get hostile, just explain to us how you went about installing the mod, your version of Forge, your other mods, and post your error report if you get any. Really, there's no reason to get aggressive, so please, calm down.
EDIT: Also, are you using a Mac? If so, you'll need the Mac database fix on the forums.
Optifine does not break this mod, unless you consider not being able to see the pokemon inventory on the left side of the screen game-breaking ;P It's otherwise fully compatible.
-Open up minecraft.jar [make sure you have a fresh .minecraft, installing this on top of a bunch of other mods may or may not break your game. Make a back-up of your .minecraft folder if there's anything you want to save in there] with an archiving program of your choice [I recommend WinRar, but you're free to choose whatever you like].
-Get the latest version of ModLoader, open it up, and drag all the contents into minecraft.jar. Be sure you delete the META-INF folder, that's a pretty common cause of crashes.
-Get the regular Forge [make sure Forge ModLoader isn't included- honestly, I don't see why they felt the need to shoot down compatibility with ModLoader and ModLoaderMP, both were perfectly fine API's], open it, place the contents into minecraft.jar.
-Get CustomMobSpawner, and place the .zip directly into the mods folder in your .minecraft folder. If one isn't there, then either start up Minecraft to let it generate, or make it yourself. After you've done all this, test it, and make sure the game doesn't crash. If it does, then something went wrong while installing one of the prior mods. If you wanted to be really thorough, test your Minecraft after each install so you know which one breaks it.
-Download Release1.3.zip and place it in your .minecraft, and extract it there. Do not place it in the mods folder, and do not extract the contents into minecraft.jar. Everything will be put into place on it's own.
That's the goal :3 The option to have all of them in is any- we're planning to have generation packs so people can pick and choose which generation of pokemon they want in their game. Since there's so few pokemon in currently, it's not a main focus atm, but it'll come eventually :3
It's still early in development, but it's very stable at this point, and a lot of awesome features are going to be added either next update or over the course of the next few updates.
Lol, the op needs to be updated badly XDD 1.3 has been released for a few days now. Btw, to anyone popping in here who hasn't tried it yet, you really should, it's about x9001 better than 1.1 ;P Btw, how'd we end up skipping 1.2?
Not sure what you mean by that- Pokemon has always been produced by Nintendo, and all of the handheld games are made using sprites. So I have no idea what you're getting at.
Right now, it really isn't fair to compare this mod to PokeCube or PokeMobs, since this one is still so early in development. Wait until the next version releases [anyone got an eta on that btw?], then you can start comparing.
