I've been searching for a good pet mod forever, I'm so glad I finally found yours. I just wanted to say you did a great job on all of the models. My favorites are the dachshund, husky, and lab. :)

posted a message on ChinaCraft Recipe Help

I found this new mod, ChinaCraft, the other day. So far so good--it runs fine with my 140+ mods, no obvious glitches, nice content...however, I can't figure out what the silk fabric is for? There is no recipe book, and all of the sites I found on this mod are in Chinese. They don't translate since the information was uploaded via picture file and not text. :P

Anyone else playing it or want to give it a try? I am not sure if I'm missing something, or the creator just hasn't finished making the mod and the silk is for future use. I was using the uncrafting table from Twilight Forest to decipher recipes but that didn't reveal much. ;)

fyi I will be using this as a side mod in my mod island series

edit| O NO I did not realize it was not 1.10

I'm sorry I'm using the wrong version I will definitely add it in if you update it because I love it :(

Sorry, I was checking my threads and noticed I missed this comment. I will be adding newer versions of this mod this year. I have 1.8.9, 1.10.2, and 1.11.2 planned.

Also, for anyone else that is currently playing, I am going to push out a patch by Valentine's Day to fix a couple of issues--then another larger update for spring(with planting!).

Again, sorry for the late response.

I've been using Shockbyte for almost a year now. Customer service can be a bit slow, but I am assuming it is due to the amount of traffic they have to deal with. It actually helped push me into the direction of figuring out how to deal with a lot of server issues myself.

Anyway, the prices are great and servers run well. Easy to use interface, and if you don't know how to upload packs they can do it for you or you can choose one of the presets(popular options like Tekkit and Infinity).

Overall 8/10 stars from me. Hth. :)

    **1.8.9 is here!!**

I have updated the mod to version 1.1.2 for Minecraft version 1.8.9!

--Some props now have sound effects

--First aid kit now dispenses a healing tonic

--Gifts can be unwrapped for two new surprises

--Tools and patterns are no longer consumed when used in the crafting grid

--Recipes have been fixed for bugs/continuity

If you have any issues, please be sure to let me know here, or on my Curse project page. I am still working on bug fixes/update for 1.7.10, as well as the other Minecraft versions requested. Please be patient, as I have another mod I work on as well as a family to care for. ;)

Are you tired of looking at the same teal and blue outfit on your Steve? Or maybe you found a great skin, but want to dress it up without sacrificing it to find a new outfit? Then this mod is for you! It consists of a full wardrobe and accessories for all of your gaming needs.

Begin by collecting cotton in the overworld, then turn it into either cloth or seeds for farming more cotton. Mine halite ore to use in making multi-use bottles of dye. Create patterns for different clothing types such as sleepwear, casualwear, careerwear, beachwear, formalwear, and costumes. Make special tools to begin crafting--you will need a needle & thread, knitting needles, sewing scissors, a measuring tape, and a pin cushion. Simply place a pattern, fabric, tool, and other materials into the crafting grid to begin "sewing". Now you will have a fancy new outfit to impress your friends!

Requires Minecraft version 1.7.10 to run, as well as it's compatible version of Forge.

The screen goes black or white after a few minutes of being in game. Then it just closes on it's own. Not sure what is going on.

So cool! But maybe could you make the textures more... minecrafty? Like less realistic and more pixilised. Id love to download if you did that!

Yea, I was debating between realistic and classic pixels. I ended up going with realistic after the ideas started flowing and I couldn't keep up with the creating lol. Don't worry though--I have more mods planned for the future, some with that classic Minecraft feel(I cannot confirm or deny that one has to do with clothes... ;) ).This seems to be my favorite new hobby now. I have so much built up creativity that needs released! haha :D

posted a message on Make minecraft children friendly already!

Wow...what? I am 31, and have been playing Minecraft since 2012--because my (at the time) 8 year old son got me into it. He saw an older friend playing it and really wanted to try it. Already being an avid gamer, I had no issues letting him try it out. He also had already been playing Wii games and some PS3 ones. He was actually better at most levels in his Mario games than me, someone who grew up with NES! :P

My son had no issues whatsoever with the gameplay or controls. Breaking blocks was part of the fun, so was fighting zombies. Death was also a concept he wasn't foreign with since even Mario dies in his games. At that age, most kids don't really understand what death means period, let alone in a video game. They just see it as a hurdle, an annoyance, having to start over. Especially in games where there is virtually no bloodshed. I did not see any ill effects from my son witnessing his favorite animated characters "die" and come back to life seconds later.

Also, my 4 year old son tried playing MC too, because well what your older sibling does, you want to do as well. He would get a little frustrated, but he also got frustrated when his legos or even playdough didn't do what he wanted. It's just part of being a child. It's actually a good thing if you read into children's psychology. Problem solving and being aware that life is not perfect teaches you adaptability and coping skills. The majority of people do this every day on some level. Even your newborn trying to figure out how to drink milk for the first time is problem solving.

That said, I think this is a personal problem/choice for you, and whatever other parents out there. If you feel "death" in a game(or in general, which is essentially what life is about and needs to be learned anyway), then don't expose your kids to it. If you feel that the game is too difficult for your child, either A. sit down and help them. or B. give them something else to do. You can't expect an entire franchise that is aimed at 10 year olds(and obviously 30 year olds ha), to rewrite their entire game plan for you. Not to be mean, but it's the truth. Honestly, I don't know if this is a troll post or if you are serious. If you are, please rethink some of the things you said.
