My only suggestion is to possibly add more transmutations. While my friend and I were playing and we discovered a transmutation for gunpower, we were quite disappointed when there weren't more for other items like flint or coal. An expansion on the area of simple transmutation with the crucible would be great, but your other plans sound much more time consuming and fun.

posted a message on The creator of Fortrescraft stating Fortresscraft is better then Minecraft.
He would have never made his game if Minecraft was never released. It's simple as that.

I think it's clearly been pointed out, but you sir are an idiot if you believe the "snapshots" are official updates with no bugs or glitches. You are a tester when you download that update, you will deal with the bugs and report them. If you want to play the regular game, go back to 1.1

posted a message on NOTCH VS JEB
Between Notch and Jeb, they've both added interesting concepts and ideas. Of course, without Notch there would be no Minecraft. Without Jeb, we would be stuck with what Notch would have left. They're both vital of course, but I really like the direction Jeb is going with Minecraft. He's making it harder, which is what we need. He's making it more complex which is good, since if this game stays too simple, it wouldn't keep your attention. By far my favorite update by him is the Zombies breaking down doors. Hands down. I want Minecraft to be a horrific game experience (in terms of being frighting) and when modding is officially supported, the modders will be able to do that for me. Endermen were the beginning of what I wanted, now I'd like monsters that can go invisible when they attack, giant creatures from your nightmares to spawn in the Nether, heck even just more Nether content would be great.

In any case, I'm enjoying the route which Jeb is taking, he updates more frequently, he does it will less glitches and bugs than Notch ever did. I just hope it keeps going this way.
