I will back this up. I know where my spawn in a world was, and I never broke the chest, and I was running through the forest quite some distance from my spawn and stumbled upon a random chest under the edge of a tree surrounded by torches. I found this odd since no one else ever joined my game, and I had not exited the world since I generated it.

posted a message on Saddest Update Ever...

Sorry you feel ripped off, but I don't think every PS3 player needs to be refunded, there are a lot of us who are quite pleased with this new update. Even if it is tiny. I, myself, am excited over a new mash-up in Chinese.

From my eyes, you are coming off rude, I don't know if you realize it, but just in case you didn't intend to be, thought I'd give you a heads up.

I realized how short my last listing was, and not very friendly, I suppose! Didn't mean it to sound like that, I was tired and getting ready to head to bed, but wanted to list that I was looking for some Minecraft friends. I'm probably one of the older people I've seen on the forums, but I can't help that, I still love the game! I'm looking for some people, preferably ones who won't be too offended if I swear. I tend to swear when creepers get involved! Who doesn't though, right? I love playing on survival, but will dabble in creative as well. I enjoy mining and gathering supplies for some reason. I have spent hours just mining underground from one edge of the map, across and back, over and over! I'm weird like that. Looking for some people to build with and make something awesome!

posted a message on Trying again: WHERE IS MY STRONGHOLD

I was going to say, the seed was probably created before last big update which reset all the seeds. Which absolutely saddened me since I switched from XBOX to PS3 right after the update and my awesome 7 village seed no longer exists. Well it does, but the seed was no longer awesome. :(

Since the update the mobs friendly and not friendly have been extremely laggy. Boats are the same way. I have also had the game crash 3 times saying that it can not load and can no longer continue. I had no issues with the game before the update. I know there is going to be a few bugs to work out in any new update. I just wanted to throw this out there. This is for the ps3 console. Thank you for your time.

ok so I have found out that this only seems to be affecting the gameplay when someone else is playing with me on split screen. I do not play online with anyone so i do not know if that is affected or not.

I'm having the same issues, my game is online, but I'm playing alone. I finally ditched the boat halfway across the ocean and just swam for it. I expected bugs, so I'm not terribly upset about it. Of course every map I've started (trying to find a good seed to play on with new update) has been ocean mostly, large islands, so I have had to spend time in water. It is annoying, but hopefully fixed soon. :)

posted a message on "Minecraft: Playstation 3 Edition" has failed to load, and cannot continue.

We get this error, too. Though it does seem to happen more often when a save is involved, but we've gotten it while just playing and minding our own business.

posted a message on Can't find any nether fortresses...Help?

This last map I've been working on, barely any of the fortress is visible, I found an end of it sticking out of the netherrack, otherwise, I would have never known it was there. :\

Definitely pull up photos as references from the internet. I'm currently working on a village in the Greek Mythology pack, and am trying to stick true to the building style of Ancient Greece, so I have been pulling photos like crazy. It's coming along, but I've had to rip out certain buildings from the NPC villages that I just couldn't seem to modify and give it the correct feeling.

posted a message on Default or Superflat?

I think it really depends on what you're going for. Myself, I have three creative worlds, one is built on a superflat. Simply because I just wanted to build up a village into something larger and more awesome without having to factor in the changes of the ground, and try to work around it. My creative builds on regular seem to end up more of my experimental builds. Like the two before me said, it's really about what you're going for overall. Having to build landscape, to me, at the moment seems easier than having to tear down a mountain that's in the way, or trying to level out ground in a village. I know I've gotten some MESSED UP villages that spawn on top of caverns and have huge falls between buildings. Which is why I started a superflat world in creative. Just so I didn't have to hassle with that sort of thing.
