Fake, but now that I've heard them Notch HAS to make that whispering the official sound they make. Fits perfectly.

reading this first 8 pages of this thread provided me with all the laughs I need for today, thanks minecraft community.
and as for the fabled "permadeath"- I say, if its actually going to follow the meaning of actual death- go for it. I would be happy for that. I love hard difficuly, but it is still not hard enough for me. I grew up in the days of gaming where you had permadeath, no autosave checkpoints, or anything like that. and because of that, I easily grow tired of modern games. long gone are the days where you spent all that time and effort grinding up to beat a certain boss in ye olde gaminge days, and then you go in and get surprised when you get the absolute crap kicked out of you. However if it does come into play(big IF), it will be on the difficulty slider, no doubt. I will welcome the return of the popular hardcore games

But I hope there's no slider. I hope there's either survival mode or creative mode. Sliders ruin it. People want instagratification nowadays and it sucks major ass. People don't know how to play games anymore. Now it's all about (pan to spongebob saying IMAGINATION) >.>
It's like if most gameplayers nowadays lose their character or get a set back in any way, they...

I've been in since like a month and a half before beta and seen one slime in a massive tnt crater in smp which jumped into a lava flow before I even noticed it. Slimes need to spawn more often if slime balls have a use.
I agree but they should still be fairly rare. -

On top of pistons I think slime balls should be used to make poisoned arrows. - To post a comment, please login.

This is what I mean, sorry it was late. As a 'first level' armor it shouldn't be about as hard as iron to obtain (as the guy in the above post basically said) Sure, everyone can go for iron but it SHOULD have a use in the game early on and should be easier to obtain. I suggest cows dropping 0-1-2-3 maybe -4 pieces of hide like sheep drop wool. It would at least speed things up a bit. Say you're mining away and someone kills you with their diamond sword. Your armor is gone and they collect all your stuff. On your way back to own their ass, you should be able to kill just a few cows to make a decent few pieces of armor so you dont get 2 hit again. Leather armor should have this sort of use in-game. Not very effective but easy to obtain. Other armor's don't have these traits.
