    As for items, I'll take any suggestions people have for them. The only idea I've come up with so far is having all tools/weapons as omni-tool states.

    Here's my thought;

    • Wood = Basic handheld metallic tools (like the traditional MC stuff, but sci-fi) with a small knife for the sword
    • Stone = Pure Omni-tool states, including the sword, ala the new omni-blade
    • Gold = Geth-like tool-set, given that zombie pigs use gold swords
    • Iron & Diamond = Omni-tool interfaced with more sophisticated physical tools, EG laser drill.

    For Armor, if you intend to do it;

    • Leather = ?
    • Iron = Basic black light Onyx Armor from ME-1 (no N7 patch)
    • Gold = Eclipse style yellow generic Merc armor
    • Diamond = ME-3 N7 armor

    For the bow, a pistol and arrows as heat-sink clips.
    I suggest pistol for two reasons;
    1; the bow always seems to be held in one hand
    2; the pistol is the most used weapon in cut-scenes, and the most widely applicable weapon

    Tossed an ender pearl off a huge cliff at 3/4ths health, but didn't account for the skele behind me who took me down enough hearts before the pearl landed that I died upon teleport. :rolleyes:

    Also elevators seem to have *zero* issues with controllers disappearing or ships vanishing due to the fact they never leave the chunk. If you ever have an issue with an elevator please post it :smile.gif:

    Will do!
    (Now I know why my mining capsules are so reliable. I'll have to throw up some pics later...)

    If you add any block to the ship after that happens, it seems to fix it (still don't know why). Just don't try to add a new block where the controller was (is?) or it will crash hard.

    Thanks very much. :smile.gif:

    Quick +1 for you;

    I love using the elevator for mining capsules.
    That way my chest and a bench are never more than a couple blocks away no matter how deep I venture.

    I also like to use the peculiar interactions with water to my advantage when making an underwater base.
    I build a basic airlock, fill it with wool, and fly the contraption to the sea floor. Rejoin, stand inside the door, and take a lighter to the wool. voila.

    So thanks for making some of my favorite Minecraft activities that much more fun. :Diamond:

    SMP would be amazing. Going on Raids with your friends, Sky Pirates and that. AWESOME. This Mod should be vanilla.

    This is fun for mobile mortars too.
    Cannons now have a use. Granted you have to remove/replace the water each time you move it, but its no worse than a medieval siege engine, and it does a fudge-ton more damage. :SSSS:

    I really love this mod!

    but i found a bug
    if you are using a ship controller than wil after some time disappear the controller an your boat is no longer moveable
    would be nice if you could fix it

    I've suffered this one twice now, once with a ship and once with an air-ship.
    In both cases the control block vanishes and if I quit+reload the ship itself is gone.
    Now I'm afraid to put any effort into building anything nice.

    On a happier note, the remote control is so so SO very useful for testing craft designs because I tend to fall off them frequently.

    posted a message on Creeper Apocolypse Mod Please
    I'd be more interested in a mod that lets the game progress normally for a set # of Minecraft days, more or less depending on your difficulty setting.

    At the end of those days the Creeper Apocalypse begins. :SSSS:
    Your difficulty is automatically raised to hard, the day cycle turns to a kind of twilight about the same luminescence as late evening (mobs never die in sunlight in other words), the moon gets a creeper face, and Creeper spawn rates are multiplied by 5x during the 'twilight' and 15x during the night.

    When the apocalypse begins the game begins to count both how many Creepers you manage to kill and how many 'days' you manage to survive.

    On your first death you get your score and the number of days you survived and the world reverts to 'normal' (or self-deletes if you were on hardcore before the apocalypse began)

    Quote from PotatoHandle

    Let me summarize the 4,000 youtube comments by demographic for you:

    Children - **** NOTCH
    Trolls/Dyslexics - **** YOGSCAST
    College Goers/Young Adults - Everyone was drunk, who gives a ****?
    Adults - Very mature/professional reply guys, in the absence of further evidence, I think Notch should apologize.
    ADD Sufferers - WHERE DID SIMON'S BEARD GO?!

    Exactly.

    ....So what did happen to Simon's beard?
    (I jest...)

    Quote from XBlackish

    I think my favorite part of this thread so far has to be that the people who are calling Yogscast fans idiots/children and are saying that anyone who defends them is just a fanboy, are the same people who are turning around and praising Notch and believing that every word on his twitter is true.

    For the love of whatever nonspecific deity you might or might not believe in, where is the EVIDENCE that anything on Notch's twitter is true?

    This is why it would be best for both Notch and anyone tempted to take sides to wait until we know more conclusively what the creeper-spit is going on.

    If it was a misunderstanding or Notch is trolling, then he and anyone who supported his side look really asinine when all is said and done.

    Vice-versa if it turns out that this is the Yogstcast's fault.

    I'd like to believe it was a misunderstanding, but if nothing else everyone should be as diplomatic as if it were unless its proven it wasn't.

    Notch is shooting himself in the foot with this one big time.

    It pays to bite your tongue and say only extremely non-committal diplomatic things at a time like this, especially since the Yogscast guys haven't even been able to release a statement yet.

    Even if it turns out *not* to be a misunderstanding (which would surprise me, honestly) its still always better to present a good image and not respond in kind to insults, poor behavior, etc etc and so forth.

    posted a message on Why I hate 1.8
    Did not upgrade and will not upgrade.
    Still on a modded 1.7.3

    After watching the Yogscast do their 1.8 vids I came to these conclusions;

    *New Biomes and Villages are great
    *Silverfish are cool and scary
    *Endermen are also cool and scary
    *Strongholds and mine-shafts also look cool

    But these are absolute deal-breakers for me;

    *Sprinting mechanic is OP and out of place
    *XP seems out of place in Minecraft
    *Hunger bar is, on its own, so much a deal breaker I will never upgrade again without having a mod to remove it assuming I ever upgrade again.
    *Endermen are too buggy right now. I will NOT download something that creates a mob that can directly move my blocks!
    *Villages lack NPCs, something my current install of Millenaire doesnt suffer from :rolleyes:

    but I want to experience the other new features like the new terrain and NPC villages, i just dont want to deal with hunger

    Hence my method of dealing with the update;

    1; Install Millenaire
    2; Install Mo' creatures
    3: Install an extended weapons pack
    4; Install Zeppelin Mod
    5; ???
    6; Profit.

    (Notice update to 1.8 doesn't make the list. :rolleyes: )

    It depends how fast it depletes as to whether I will update now or wait for a removal mod.

    I can't be bothered to consume food on a timed schedule more than once every hour.
    Call that 'soft' if you want I frankly don't give a Creeper's Crap. :SSSS: :GP:
