guys you realize to make a mod into a new version of minecraft isn't exactly easy. and considering how GINORMOUS this mod is it could take time . Don't rush the mod creators when they get it done it'll be done. Also as far as I'm aware, Minecraft will be in 1.5 soon correct? So what would be the point of making it compatible with 1.4.7 when you might as well wait for 1.5.
This is correct, and with all the new features that have arrived lately, especially the virtual server in ssp, has made it very hard to find ways to mod in specific things. I'm actually looking forward to 1.5, as far as I'm aware they'll add some mod support in that version?
I have no plans continuing this mod, but I do have a plan making a new mod. It'll be more focused on natural phenomenons, not just disasters. Disasters will be included though!
I hope I can find some time soon to update this. Lately there's been a lot of reports about errors. I'll look into them and look into multiplayer support.
I'm sorry for my time away, I'm not as dedicated as I used to be. :/
so this IS forge compatible but does it work on LAN?
I actually just ported it after seeing your reply
To be honest, LAN shouldn't be a problem. I haven't tested, but LAN don't require a special server application. It would be very appreciated if anyone would test if it works

Seems FML tries to do Modloader's work and fails, I can't really do much for comparability I guess then :/
The disaster spawner won't spawn any disasters. I right click into the air to select the disaster, but when I right click the ground, it does not spawn the disaster but instead, it just continues to select the disaster.
Vanilla? Yes.
You absolutely sure about that? Yes!
Version? 1.2.5. 100% sure.
Correct Mod version? Yep, Natural Disasters V1.5_1 for minecraft 1.2.5
Correct modloader version? Yep!
You absolutely sure? Yep!
Was Modloader working/installed correctly? Yep! Started minecraft, it worked great and the mods folder and the other stuff appeared in the minecraft folder.
Tell me, how did you install this mod?As the instructions, I simply put it in the mods folder. There's the proof that I did everything right, but it crashes me.
Here is the crash log:

Also, you DEFINETLY need to mention which version your mod is for, please update the first thread page, I was searching over half an hour to find you answering someone else wondering which version this was for.Thank you
Did you seriously say: Correct Mod version? Yep, Natural Disasters V1.5_1 for minecraft 1.2.5?
1.5 is for 1.3.2
1.4 is for 1.2.5
Look at versions/older version, it says what MC version you can use it on(which it is compatible with).

please help i really want this to work... i tried everything even without the other mods on such as the tornado one but that should be compatible as shown in the video. Nothing works.
Seems like FML and Modloaders isn't making any mods very compatible... my codes don't work for FML, but do any of non API mod need all thos APIs? I believed you only needed ModLoader for some of them, maybe forge for some too...
I would try making some volcanoes just mountains. The only way you could tell is if they violently explode at one point and kill everything. Volcanoes should also emit ash plumes. Just look it up on wikipedia for more details on this kind of crap.
Actually, here's a diagram on the volcanoes thing.
YES! But one thing: wouldn't that explosion lag a little bit?...
I think the two types we have are pretty good, and they don't need another modification IMO...
And most people like the volcanoes that are because you can see them before you settle, which makes it less destructive to the player. Some players want to have a dynamic world, yet they want to world to leave them some peace to build. This is probably why Natural Disasters don't exist outside modding.
Damn, why do I live in Europe AND still have parents watching over me, which aren't anywhere near interested in Minecraft as I am, they rather dislike the game >.<

I hope to be able to do it once the modding API comes out.

Yes, this mod needs a lot of CPU power, there is not much I can do about it...

tl;dr: FML + ML = crash :/
I don't really think I'll get to add it. It would be too complicated to code, unless I had some finite water to get hands on.
