I think I know what happened to PodGaming YT. He probably did not have permission to do this. He was making the map, but he removed the videos for some reason. And because he began a new world instead of opening the one in progress, I think PodGaming was lying about the project being handed to him and just went ahead and did it. Therefore, he plagiarized.

posted a message on List of sites stealing Minecraft content. StopModReposts!
It think it would help if some popular youtubers put the word out there. Not sure about others, but I use them whenever I'm interested in a mod. Ex. PopularMMO's

This is actually a good idea. The more people know, the less the websites will be used. Here's a list of youtubers who have many subscribers and use mods. (Do not comment against the youtubers, that is off-topic)

    PopularMMO's (as stated above)

Thediamondminecart (This helps reach out to many mod users, and since he doesn't swear it may reach out to younger players)

Stampylonghead and Ibalisticsquid (Again, may reach out to younger players. He does't usually play pc , but "Squid's Got Mods!" has probably gone viral)

    Ihasacupquake (Like Thediamondminecart)

Chrisandthemike (He may not have a million subs, but he's still popular and famous for his "Minecraft Family" and "Minecraft Comes Alive" series. He also supports his cause because he said he looked for someplace to post a world save that "wasn't loaded with virus and copies"

    Carflo (Chrisandthemike's friend)

PaulSoare Jr. (This could reach many young players, as he is family friendly. And if he had time to do commentary in the minecraft guidebooks, then he will have time to support this page.)

Anyone not listed here is a monster like Smaug swimming in piles of likes and subscribers and would not care. (Personal opinion, no point in discussion because it's off topic)

This idea could also be displayed through mods. Modders of popular mods could sport the banner. Here's a list of popular mods that have modders that will help.

Lord of the Rings Mod (Created By Mevans)

    Flan's Mod

    Ichun Mods

    Morph and CustomNPCs (Noppes)

Many others could be added. Also if we could get this to the forum's home page...

I'm making a "challenge" with this mod
the challenge is: travel through all the middle earth through every middle earth biome without fast travel!
how much time do you think it will take for me to do this?

Well according to Mevans, he answered to people that you can travel all of middle earth seven times in 24 hours. So unless you make stops. That's about how long it will take.

The death star is way too large to do that! But if you really want anything else. Go find a modder! It is a cool idea!

    THEY DON'T WORK.

Why is everyone obsessed with 1.6 anyway? They are all buggy versions. (Then again, so are all things)

Most mods are out for 1.6. Next everyone will want the 1.7.2 version. 1.7.10 will not be popular until more mods are made.
