Why isn't the better together update going to come to the java edition of minecraft? The version is the oldest one in minecraft and, despite being different from most of the versions, look at all the features from it that will be implemented in the better together update!
It can't be the redstone system, because console has essentially the exact same one (although if they're changing console one to match the rest I think I'll stick with PC)
The programming issue shouldn't be too much of a liability (I mean we're already crossplatforming at least 4 different coding languages here, probably more)
Let's face it, PC/Mac edition hasn't exactly been able to float boats on the player base for a bit, but the numbers are still growing steadily, and we're keeping up fairly well with the Console editions. The pocket edition has a very large player base, but not many of those are dedicated players (more 15 minute a day players play on their phones than their tablets). Why ditch the PC instead of something like Amazon Fire?
About the only reasoning to the better together update not coming to the PC/Mac is that we love our servers, and the addition of even one officially owned-and-operated server by Mojang to the list is going to weather traffic a bit. However, I think numbers will quickly recover, especially since people don't have to pick between Java and the Bedrock edition.
About the only other point I can think of is 'hacking' (aka mods/resource packs that give an advantage to players), but it would be very easy for Mojang to fix that, for just about any server: Just disable any mods and all unapproved resource packs before allowing the players into a server with said security setting on. Simple as that.
I sure as h*ll hope Mojang isn't trying to kill its oldest community.

You can't have 2 different redstone systems in a game that would break it

I meant like what redstone system DOES it have not what should it have

What system does redstone follow in the better together update? The Console/Java version or the Win10/PE?
