Not sure if this is appropriate for this forum, but here goes:

Here's the details:

So, me and a few friends have played a lot of games together (guild has been running strong for at least 4 years now, I believe), and we always call our guild "The Nub Club" as an old reference, yet we always struggle with things like making a guild thread because we don't have a logo.

The guild is primarily playing an MMO right now (said MMO is in minecraft, but I want to avoid any minecraft references in particular since the guild doesn't just play that game and the MMO server we play on is quite different from the game) and thus the logo should be fantasy/medieval esque.

My general idea is basically some elaborate font in White/Gold/Red (one of these colors would probably be the best fit, but feel free to pick another color if you deem it suitable) with the guild's name (The Nub Club) and below the name of the guild, some sort of emblem. I was thinking of a shield or a sword or something along those lines, something that gives the idea of a fantasy/medieval setting, though you can choose something else if you feel it fits in better with the logo.

This is the logo of another guild that existed on the server. Basically, something along these lines (though I'll leave it up to you) is what I was thinking of when I mentioned an elaborate font.

If anyone could help, it would be amazing.

Human trait is an extra trait you pick out of a small list. A few off the top of my head are roll, heavy drinker and forgery(I think).

It's 225 not 2250. Unless you just want to make a big one.

Just a player here but I believe there is a shortage of lumberjacks, having only seen one. I also haven't seen many miners or fishermen but take what I say with a grain of salt since I have not been playing in this server for more than a day.

Yeah, I keep hearing that WoW has a good roleplay community but I'm not fond of subscription models. I also hear ESO has a good roleplay community but it's pretty expensive and it's gonna have DLC, so I'm not sure if it's worth the price.

What is the definition of “Powergaming”?: Basically being invincible by choosing the outcome of an action, like - Shoots an arrow at the man's head, instantly killing him - instead of - Shoots an arrow, aiming for the man's head - .

What is the definition of “Metagaming”?: Using information obtained OOCly to boost your character IC. Like for example being in a town but hearing someone in another town say they're going to invade his and using that knowledge even though his character would have no way of knowing in those conditions.

What is the definition of “Roleplay”?: Acting as your character would.

Who can use flymod, X-ray and other such clientsided mods?: The rules don't exactly say that someone can use them so I assume no one.

When are you allowed to cause the death of another character?: When the other player agrees to it, within reason.

When are you allowed to speak out of character?: When on the OOC channel, private messaging or double brackets.

Do you have any previous RP experience, Minecraft or elsewhere? (Optional): Yes, I was a player & builder for a roleplay minecraft server way back(don't remember the name, frankly, but I do remember well that I was a dwarf), I have also roleplayed in Starbound, Terraria, a few MMOs and I played in a San Andreas server called Argonath RPG for ~4 years and was a staff member for a short while there.

Character Information

Name: Alwyn Notleigh

Age: 36

Race: Human

Physical description: Medium build, relatively muscular. He has a goatee and his face has signs of aging. His hair is short on the front but fairly long in the back, nearly reaching under his neck. He wears black boots and a plain white t-shirt with a small brown apron over it. He also wears brown pants which "blend in" with his apron, giving him a solid look. His skin is a bit pale, since he spends most of his time indoors.

Biography (Minimum 225 words. Most very fleshed-out characters have around 300, but feel free to use even more than that if you wish. Try and avoid clichés such as loved one being killed by bandits or the like): Alwyn was born to a poor couple in the western border of Mezenia. There, he had to work from a very early age, and with his family's poverty he learned the value of a nice place to sleep and a meal on the table. With that, he dreamed of one day being able to provide those things to people like him and his family at an affordable price. By the time he hit 16, he began working in a small Inn near his parents' home. The owner of the inn was a man named Jacob, who was an old friend of his family, so he was able to get a job there fairly easily. He worked in that inn for 12 years, until Jacob passed away from old age. He was touched to find out that Jacob had left the Inn in his name instead of his oldest son, because, through his own words "He might not be of my kin, but he has the same, if not even more passion than anyone in my family and there is no one more deserving than him to run this place.". Under the ownership of Alwyn, the Inn began running into some financial trouble, since Alwyn did not inherit Jacob's money and because of it he didn't have enough money to keep the Inn going. He ended up having to sell the Inn after three years, and after that Alwyn was devastated. He had a once in a lifetime opportunity to make his dream come true and he had fallen short. He ended up giving the majority of the money he had gotten from selling the Inn to his parents and he traveled throughout the lands, looking for a purpose. One day, after having to sleep on the streets due to being out of money, he felt exactly like he had felt during his early days. With that feeling, he remembered just how much his dream meant to him, and decided not to give up so easily. He began working at a pub in Norland's coast, but the owner did not have the same motivation that he did. He worked there for a few months and after acquiring enough coin, he bought a one way trip to Enris, where he was determined to finally make his dream come true.

What is your character’s main goal? (Motivation): To own Enris' best inn, completing his dream. He also wants to give his parents a better life, but he hopes he can kill two birds with one stone by using the money made from the inn for it.

Strengths (Both physical and personality): He is physically strong, however he is untrained with any kind of weaponry aside from an iron sword, which he keeps around if possible, since he is always afraid of being robbed.

He is loyal, friendly, and generous.

Weaknesses (Balance out yours character's strengths with suitable weaknesses. Not knowing how to do something that is outside of your class is not a weakness. I.E. Not knowing how to use a bow as a miner.): He is not very smart or very well spoken. It takes him quite a long time to understand simple concepts when it comes to things involving magic or any new technology. He is also capable of getting himself in things that would be frowned upon if it helps him come closer to achieving his dream(ex: selling illegal goods if it means promoting his establishment).

What is your character's personality? (Optional; use this field to note character traits that you feel don't fit into either strengths or weaknesses if you wish): Alwyn is friendly to everyone, even if the person is shady-looking. He is also not afraid to say things other people would normally not say.

He is not very religious, but when he does pray, he prays to Elska, and very rarely to Rhyfel.

Bonus Language (Caro is free): He speaks a bit of Savage, but he is nowhere near fluent.

Character Traits (up to 7 points worth):

Chef(2) - Having worked in both an inn and a pub, Alwyn is easily capable of preparing a meal.

Brewer(1) - Same reasoning. He has worked in a pub, so he can easily brew an ale.

Franchise Owner(4) - He owned an Inn for a while, so he is fairly experienced at it.

Human Trait: Heavy Drinker - Having worked in places where he serves alcohol, it was not a rare thing to share a beer with a regular.

Looking as well. It's pretty mind boggling how I find less GOOD roleplay servers on Minecraft than I do in smaller games such as Starbound, Terraria or even MMOs with only small roleplaying communities(ex:Neverwinter) considering how much potential for roleplay Minecraft has.

Anyway, with that said, that also serves as a nice bump since I'm just as interested in this info as the OP of this thread.
