You need to add an SRV record. You'll have to enter a few things.
Example:
Only thing you really care about though is the name (which will be the actual subdomain), the port (the actual port), and the target (the actual hostname)
[WARNING] Can't keep up! Did the system time change, or is the server overloaded?
It's talking about your CPU. You should try a plugin like NoLagg to stop too many chunks being loaded or having too many entities loaded at once. Also try reducing server view-distance.
It's a faction survival server. Hosted on beast node, if I had enough disk space to do it, what are the other issues I could have?
Like I said, if you wanted to backup the world onto your computer (ex. upgrading / moving hosts) it could take you 1 - 3 days of continuous uploading just to upload it to a server. Chances of you or the host having a problem and disconnecting in that time period is likely.
If any part of the map got corrupted and you needed to run it through MCEdit or Minecraft Region Fixer, it could take a long time to load the world as well.
yea my router is port forwarded, before i restored my computer i had a server running and i had a few friends that were also able to connect, and actually its like my server isnt even online because it shows no signal on my server list

I see your problem.
You need to make an A record, name it 'ip.dta-mc.com' and point it to 23.235.232.104
Then make an SRV record, name it 'play.dta-mc.com' and target it to 'ip.dta-mc.com' with port 25638

You should make a nice thread for you server here and players will see it.
Also take suggestions seriously and try to work hard to improve player retention.
If advertising is your problem, there are some guides, like this one.

Glad it helped
Some people might find 3 a little low, maybe keep it around 5 or 6, but it's really up to you and what your computer can handle.

Yeah then there's definitely something wrong with whatever setup you've got.
Sorry I wasn't able to help.

He meant in this thread - It's for permission help.
You'd have to post your own thread in this section (Server Administration)

I got a similar error when I tried it, I guess not.
I don't think it would be a problem with port forwarding if you're trying to connect on localhost.
Maybe try with the latest CraftBukkit beta build and see if you have the same problem?

I just downloaded your .jar and I know what the problem is xD
Your client needs to be on 1.6.4 as well, or use a 1.7.2 server jar.
Let me know if that fixes it.

Hmm. Are you trying to connect using localhost or 127.0.0.1 or an external IP address?

Do you have any plugins you are trying to load?

I don't see where you tried to login anywhere. Are you sure it's not a problem with your setup? Port fowarding, etc?
