    Edit: Even though the lock accepts anything as a "key," I wouldn't be opposed to the additional suggestion that an actual key item also be included with this. For that extra little touch.

    Hello people! In the 1.4 update, we are getting introduced to the Command Block, an extraordinary block with many functions, intended for adventure map makers.

    I have come up of a possible tool known as the Lock.

    What's a lock?
    A Lock's function is to transmit a redstone signal when a certain item(s) have been placed inside of it. This would be beneficial if an adventure map maker requires the player to find certain items to proceed into the next area in their map.

    How does it work?
    A Lock can be placed on the ground, on a wall, or on the ceiling. When placed, it will do nothing. It's useless. When right-clicked, a GUI will appear with one slot. This slot is where you place the item you want to be used as the key. You can put, for example, 64 Apples as the key. When you are certain this is what you want the lock to be, you hit the small check mark button next to it, and it will be set. Now, each time you right click it, you must place the key in. Like our previous example, we would put 64 Apples in, and any redstone connecting to this lock will be turned on. Any key(items) you put in will stay, so leaving the GUI will not cause the items to fall to the floor.

    What is the crafting recipe?
    There is none. Yup. None. Zero. It is a creative only tool, only used for adventure map makers.

    What does it look like?
    I have no pictures of its possible appearance, but it would be the same size as a tripwire hook, but have some sort of key hole in the middle. When the key is put in, the key hole will turn yellow.

    What are some of its properties?
    Size: Same size as a tripwire hook.
    How long does it take to break?: It has the same mining time as a lever.

    There you go! That's my idea!

    Welcome to the forums! I suggest you read the suggestion making tip thread, which is located on the top of these forums.

    Anywho, since you're new, I forgive you, but people want details, and will bash your idea to the ground if you don't have any. Describe them, state how much health they have, or appearance, etc.

    Also, suggestions that are already suggested will get locked, meaning no one can post on it anymore. Use the search bar to see if your idea was already suggested.

    I'd love frogs in Minecraft by the way.

    ...What? Why would they blow up? Why could they pick up blocks? Why would they be hurt in water? This is nothing like regular zombies. I mean, sure, its a new type of zombie, which is really unoriginal by the way, but why would it have so many characteristics that don't fit with the regular zombies? And once again, WHY WOULD THEY BLOW UP?

    No support. Oh and, you should describe the mob a bit more(appearance, damage level on different difficulties, etc.)
