    Quote from asalvu

Ya, I have always thought of the possibility to throw fire charges or something of the liking.
Another possibility that I came up with was fire potions. Basicly the same thing, but a potion. (if you want to check it out just click the link in my banner below)
This could be a good possibility with some good potentials.

Hmm, I guess that could work too.

This is a great idea! I've just wondered two things:

What would be the point of getting gold dust? Info?

What is the fuel for a Emaciater? You mentioned it needing fuel once.

Also, the steel oven is VERY overpowered. Take out the doubling, though, and it's great.

Otherwise, well thought out and good idea!

That is true, I did make it a bit overpowered. I'm fixing it now! And as for the fuel for an Emaciater, I forgot to menion that is the same for a Furnace, so Coal, Charcoal, Wood, etc.

I am still wondering what the Gold Dust would be for, I have some ideas, but I am still thinking. I will update the thread when I find out what the Gold Dust is for. I wanted the Emaciater not be used to make Steel. I wanted it to have more purposes too. But as of now, I don't know.

What is a wander? Do you mean wanderer?

Anyway, having villagers have a base underground would be cool, and you could trade with them. However, wanderers dropping gold or diamond is a bit...eh...not good.

    Quote from Kellosian

Different cultures in the sense that they have differing architecture, hell yes. MineCraft is all about the art and building structures, blocks redstone or otherwise, so showing that with the villages would be amazing. The war aspect, however, no. Sorry, I can't see the Squidwards getting geared up for war.

    Haha! That made my day.

I don't know why this hasn't been added to the game. I mean, it would be pretty cool in my opinion. Of course, the burn affect upon hit must be rather quick to stop potential PvP abuse. It can do half a heart of damage upon hit, along with the quick burn affect. It would be thrown very similarly to snowballs.

I would really like to see this added. So ya, thanks for reading!

What would these metals be used for? Just some more weapons? I don't think its all that important. Especially the gases, you didn't suggest ways to obtain them or where to find them.

So, no support. I need to better understand what these gases and metals can do.

I dunno, maybe it would work better as a mod. I see no reason why villagers would go against each other, and Iron Golems wouldn't attack other villagers in a war, as they are destined to protect them.

posted a message on another use for slimeballs
Hmm, the problem is that wouldn't there need to be a TON more unique block ids? I mean, if you put the slime on a side of cobblestone and then on top, there would be a change in appearance, thus a new specific block id is formed. That's the only problem I see.

posted a message on The Emaciater, Steel, and Related Things
We all know that there is quite a gap between Iron and Diamond tools and armor right now. Rather than adding new ores, why not have Steel added to the game! And not only will it be used to create tools and armor, but many other things! So, lets go!

The first thing you will need to do is to craft an Emaciater.

    Let :Iron: = Iron Ingots
    :Furnace: =Regular Piston
    :GP: = Redstone

    CRAFTING RECIPE:
    :Iron: :Furnace: :Iron:
    :Iron: :GP: :Iron:
    :Iron: :Iron: :Iron:

An Emaciater is used to mash things into a dust. The GUI is very much similar to that of a Furnace, as it requires a fuel source, such as Coal or Charcoal, an input and an output.

The available inputs are Iron Ore and Ingots, Gold Ore and Ingots, Charcoal, Coal, Steel Ingots , Raw Coke and Coke.
The available outputs are Iron Dust, Gold Dust, Charcoal Powder, Coal Powder, Steel Dust and Coke Powder.

NOTE: Coal Powder and Charcoal Powder can not be resmelted into their original forms.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gold Dust can be used to create Fine Gold Clumps, which are used to make Fine Gold Ingots.

    Fine Gold Clump Crafting Recipe:
    Let :GoldBar: = Gold Dust

    :GoldBar: :GoldBar:
:GoldBar: :GoldBar: =2 Fine Gold Clumps

Then, you smelt the Fine Gold Clumps and you'll get one Fine Gold Ingot. Fine Gold Ingots can be emaciated to get 4 Gold Dust back, not the Fine Gold Clumps.

Fine Gold Ingots can be used to make Gold Wire, which is a way to transport redstone power along the side of walls, since Gold in real life is highly conductive to electricity. Gold Wire can be placed on walls, and on the floor as well, AND will repower the redstone line, similarly to what a repeater does, but there is no small delay. To craft Gold Wire, you will need Fine Gold Ingots.

Let :GoldBar: = Fine Gold Ingot

:GoldBar: :GoldBar: :GoldBar: =4 Gold Wire

Fine Gold Ingots can also be made to create a Crown, which can be worn. In order to create the crown, you need Fine Gold Ingots and Diamonds.

    Let :GoldBar: =Fine Gold Ingot
    :Diamond: =Diamond

    :GoldBar: :: :GoldBar:
    :GoldBar: :Diamond: :GoldBar:
    :GoldBar: :Diamond: :GoldBar:

Crowns are worn like helmets, and just show a little class. Crowns have 100 durability, and only adds 1 Armor Point. It isn't really used for defense, just for showing who's in charge.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Coal Powder can also be used to make Coke(Not the soda, the type of fuel). In order to do so, you must smelt the Coal Powder and create Raw Coke. Then, you must emaciate the Raw Coke to obtain Coke Powder.

Finally, combining 4 Coke Powder in a crafting grid will give you one Coke.

    Let :Coal: = Coke Powder

    :Coal: :Coal:
    :Coal: :Coal: =1 Coke

Coke can be used as a fuel source with a 900 second burning time(being the second best fuel source, first being the Lava Bucket). Coke can be emaciated, but you will obtain 4 Coke Powder, which can be smelted to get Raw Coke (or simply recrafted into the single Coke), which can be Emaciated to get Coal Powder.

You can also make a Blast Furnace, which only allows Coke to be the fuel source, and it only smelts ores. The recipe is:

    Let :Coal: = Raw Coke
    :brick: = Brick

    :brick: :brick: :brick:
    :brick: :Coal: :brick:
    :brick: :brick: :brick:

Blast Furnaces wil double the amount of ingots given from a single ore. However, only pure Coke can be used to smelt the ores. The only inputs are Iron Ore, Gold Ore, Redstone Ore, Diamond Ore, Lapis Lazuli Ore, Coal Ore, and Emerald Ore.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You will need to emaciate Iron Ore(or Iron Ingots) into Iron Dust and will also need to emaciate Charcoal or Coal to make Charcoal/Coal Powder in order to obtain Steel Ingots. Then, with these, you can make 1 Steel Dust.

    Let :Iron: = Iron Dust
:Coal: = Charcoal Powder or Coal Powder

    CRAFTING RECIPE:
    :Iron: :Coal:

    (It is a shapeless recipe)

Then, with your 1 Steel Dust, you must smelt it to obtain one Steel Ingot.

Now of course, you can make Steel armor and tools, which will be between Iron and Diamond.

However, you can also make things such as a Steel Oven, Anvil, Steel Fence, Hammer, Block of Steel, and a Intersection Track.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Steel Ovens
    Let :Iron: = Steel Ingots
    :Furnace: =Furnace

    :Iron: :Iron: :Iron:
    :Iron: :Furnace: :Iron:
:Iron: :Iron: :Iron: = 1 Steel Oven

Steel Ovens are basically the upgrade to Furnaces. I originally had Steel Ovens be WAY to overpowered, so right now they simply just smelt items much faster and require less fuel(coal, charcoal, wood, etc.) to cook a single item.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Anvil
    Let :Iron: =Steel Ingots

    :Iron: :Iron: :Iron:
    . :Iron: .
:Iron: :Iron: :Iron: = 1 Anvil

Anvils are a way to upgrade/repair items. When right clicked, a GUI will open up. There will be an input, an output, a hammer slot, and a material slot. The input will be any tool or armor needed to be repaired or upgraded. The hammer slot is where the Hammer goes.

    Hammer crafting recipe:
    Let :Iron: = Steel Ingots
    :|: = Stick

    :Iron: :Iron:
    . :|:

Hammers can only be made with Steel. No Diamond hammers. Hammers will lose its durability for each repair or upgrade you do with it. Hammers will lose much more durability for upgrading however.

Hammers have 15 uses. For a repair, it is used once. However, for one upgrade, it counts as being used 5 times. That way, you can't easily make Iron Pickaxes into Diamond, because you will require quite a bit of Steel in order to do so, which isn't that easy.

The material slot is where the material of the tool/armor goes. For example, a Diamond Sword will require a Diamond to be placed in there. Leather Armor will require a piece of Leather to go there, etc. However, this is for repairing your tools or armor. In order to upgrade, you place the next tier material in the slot.

So lets say you have a Stone Pickaxe, but you want to make it Iron. You would put an Iron Ingot instead of Cobblestone in there, and you will get an Iron Pickaxe. However, this makes the Hammer lose quite a bit of durability.

NOTE: Hammers can be repaired, but not upgraded, of course.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Steel Fence
    Let :Iron: = Steel Ingot

    :Iron: :Iron: :Iron:
    :Iron: :Iron: :Iron:

Steel Fence are just a decorative block that looks quite nice.

    It would like this:

    Just for decorative purposes.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Block of Steel
Pretty self explanatory. Pretty much like every other Ore Blocks. But for the sake of it:

    Let :Iron: = Steel Ingot

    :Iron: :Iron: :Iron:
    :Iron: :Iron: :Iron:
    :Iron: :Iron: :Iron:
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Intersection Track
    Let :Iron: = Steel Ingot
    :|: =Stick

    :: :Iron: ::
:Iron: :|: :Iron: =4 Intersection Tracks
    :: :Iron: ::

These will allow Minecarts to go through all 4 directions of this track. Here's a pic:

The area in the very center is the Intersection Track, while the roads would be regular rails.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the future I might add some ideas, but these are it for now!

    Thanks for reading! :D

posted a message on Pig amplifiers
    Quote from Elpizo

To give some more depth to this, I've drawn some graphs. Hopefully this explains things.

It's also worth noting that the higher the amplification, the longer the cooldown process. Amplification beyond 125% will result in permanent effects to the pig, while a 100% amplified pig would take about 3-5 Minecraft days to return to normal.
Pigs amplified to the null zone will yield unpredictable results, while pigs whose actual intensity is kept near the suggested intensity will be stable.

I know that something like this is possible, I've heard of the food industry trying it with chickens. I chose pigs for this suggestion, but the reality is that it could be any animal.

What in the world? I didn't understand any of that. I'm probably just really really stupid, or you're just really really smart. If you could describe the benefits of amplified pigs, that would help me out a ton.
