Jun 27, 2013Jim_Puff posted a message on The Sound Block (A useful block for resource packs)Yep. I just saw this now. Kind of feel bad now :/Posted in: Suggestions
Jun 27, 2013There would be no benefit in completing these minigames, and it'd make it a very tedious and annoying thing to do. Sure, you can just kill yourself, but that just takes time and is very pointless.Posted in: Suggestions
I use a bed to end night or set spawn. Not to tiptoe through the meadows with flying pigs and pink clouds.
Jun 27, 2013Oh wow. I just posted my suggestion exactly like this here, and I didn't notice yours. But yes, regardless, I really do want this included.Posted in: Suggestions
Also, I didn't know Noxite also came up with this. I'm going to have to see that. :3
Jun 27, 2013Jim_Puff posted a message on The Sound Block (A useful block for resource packs)Hello everyone!Posted in: Suggestions
For those of you who may not know, Minecraft 1.6 will have Resource Packs, which replaces Texture Packs. However, not only textures are replaced, but sounds can be replaced as well! This can be very useful in adventure maps!
For example, you can change a note block note with the resource pack to any piece of music you have included in the resource pack, or give narration through audio, and not through chat.
But there aren't that many things in minecraft with sounds, and so this can limit the amount of custom sounds in a Resource Pack.
This is where the Sound Block comes in handy.
The Sound Block is very similar to that of a Command Block. It has a very similar menu. Like the Command Block, you can insert a command.
However, the Sound Block does other things than a Command Block.
In a Sound Block, you can insert the command: /play [audiofilename].ogg
(.ogg is the files used for sound in Resource Packs.)
Then, in the current Resource Pack, if there is an audio file with the same name of that used in the Sound Block, that sound will play.
The block can also allow for special commands, such as looping audio tracks or starting the audio in a specific position.
If in you're adventure map you want constant music to play in a specific town, you can use a Sound Block's loop command for a certain song you have in the adventure map's Resource Pack, and it'll continously loop.
As you can see, it'll provide adventure map makers with much more options and can vastly improve their maps. No longer would you see long characters telling a story in the chat log!

Jun 14, 2013Jim_Puff posted a message on New Potions and Enchantments! [Hoopla for all the support!]Thanks for all the feedback folks! Sorry I haven't gone back to this thread in a while!Posted in: Suggestions
I also removed Thornmail since Thorns was officially added to the game!
I'll eventually edit the effects of some of the enchantments and potions, and I'll look through your suggestions some day.
Jun 13, 2013I'm extremely excited for this game, and I'm surely going to buy myself a Wii U. Now I can have both versions of the game!Posted in: General Gaming
Additionally, I really like how Sakurai and the team made Mega Man. He looks great, plus he's very unique. He doesn't punch or kick much, except for an uppercut style move. His basic attacks(pressing a) is him shooting. I think that's a super smart idea.
Jun 9, 2013June 11th, a huge Nintendo Direct live stream will happen and will show a trailer for the upcoming fourth installment of the Super Smash Bros. series!Posted in: General Gaming
All aboard the hype train!
Anyway, in order to prepare for the wonderous event, why not discuss about SSB4 and what we want to see in it?
Personally, I'd just want tripping removed, the game to be faster than Brawl, and have Ridley as a playable character.
Dec 9, 2012Well, Super Smash Bros. 4 was mentioned to be realized for the Wii U and 3DS consoles.Posted in: General Gaming
Of course, the most asked question is:
What characters are going to be in the game?
Well, no one knows! However, it'd be neat if we made a community roster based on votes, and then we can clarify a general roster idea. That's where you guys come in.
For those who want to vote, please list 10 characters that you'd like to return/join Super Smash Bros. 4. Please place the characters in this order: Most wanted returned/introduced at top, and least wanted returned/introduced on the bottom.
1 Most wanted: R.O.B
10 Least wanted: Little Mac
Your number one wanted character will obtain 4 points.
Your number two and three will obtain 3 points.
Your four, five and six will obtain 2 points.
Your seven, eight and nine will obtain 1 point.
You MAY NOT vote for these following characters, because these are veterans(characters who were in both Melee and Brawl):
Mr. Game and Watch
We will assume the listed characters above will return to Super Smash Bros. 4.
After a week of voting, or whenever the community wishes the voting to end, I will tally up all the votes. The 15 characters with the highest amount of points will be added to the Community Roster, gaining a roster of 35 characters.
Please make the list easy to read!
