This happen at the large 1.13 update (version less than that are not effected).

This issue also effected some of the other tulips, luckily it would not be a broken texture, it would just be using the slightly edited thinner potted texture

I made the potted textures as some of the plant textures clipped the plant pot.

It will be in the next update (probably next month) as I've been back dating some of the recent snapshot textures changes and fixes.

Some of the glass blocks have custom top and bottom textures, you would have to change the model files too, don't forget that if you are using OptiFine, then you would have to change the ctm for the glass also.

The logs are using CTM textures in the optifine directory, so changing only the textures in block is not enough to change the textures if you are using OptiFine.

    John Smith Legacy 20w46a Java

I've made a start on the 1.17 snapshots and have just released the second update, here's a short list of what's been added or changed, see the changelog for all the details.

Reworked the Cauldron models to use common templates.

    Custom Lightning Rod model.

    All four copper blocks.

Custom item model for all the Candles plus all the coloured candles.

    Powder Snow in a bucket.

    Many Amethyst blocks.

Adjusted the Copper Ore and Ingot to better match the new Copper Blocks.

Bundle looks a little less blurred and more fine detail.

The Blackstone is as you said to match the other chiseled blocks.

Now the beds, the green bed has a creeper face so I thought about adding some other beds covers for some of the other mobs.

I thought of the black bed with Enderman eyes would be a bit of fun (red in JSL and purple in JSC), I did play with the yellow or orange bed for Blaze but I couldn't get it looking any good so that was scrapped.

Maybe the brown bed could have a Cow face?

I'm just playing with a few ideas and see what people like.

John Smith Legacy Bedrock 1.16.0 and John Smith Legacy JSC Bedrock 1.16.0

For all those Bedrock players patiently waiting for the packs, your wait is over... I've just uploaded the 1.16 pack for the Minecraft 1.6 Nether Update for Bedrock.

All the new textures ported from Java Edition, plus lots of small updates to better polish the rest of the pack.

Also be careful of the Respawn Anchor as they blow up!

I thought crimson should be more red after watching the film Spirited Away (千と千尋の神隠し Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi) by Studio Ghibli (Hayao Miyazaki), great film.

I then made all the crimson blocks have the same sort of theme colour to match the fences.

Warped is still looking a little off, maybe more vibrant blue to match with the crimson?

As for the glass, this is just a start, it is a lot of work to balance 17 different textures for the glass.

The Japanese style (Shoji Panel) are from the JSC pack, these are paper style wall, it used to be Gray Glass but is now on Light Gray Glass) they are not meant to be see through but do pass light (you can see through it when right up close), maybe it doesn't go with the other textures too well and I may move things around a bit in the future.

The white glass is also not as transparent as the other stained glass so it can be used for walls that let light in.

    Nothing is ever fully finished.

It's hard to follow if you keep editing the same post.

I like the look of the chiseled top so you've inspired me to change the chiseled top to better match the other chiseled blocks.

As I said, keep an eye on the two bug reports I posted, when fixed the paintings, beacon beam, doors and a few other will be fixed too.

Don't hold your breath though, Mojang can sometimes take a long time to fix these sort of issues.

The two new doors they added (Crimson and Warped) don't support transparency (when placed) while all the other doors do.

I guess this needs to be added to the extensive list of blocks that don't support transparency.

Thanks for pointing out the Netherite Axe, it's now been fixed and will be in the next release.

The tools and armour are different in the standard JSL and JSC packs, so I must have missed it.

I first thought about the super dark Diamond tools (to make a Netherite tool takes a Diamond tool), however I then decided on just dark textures with some Diamond highlights, this make them look extra special and different from all the other tools.

To change the colour of the leaves in the Nether you would have to edit the grid colour map in the OptiFine folder in the resource pack.

    https://minecraft-el.gamepedia.com/Biome/ID

You will see Hell (internal name for the Nether) is number 8, so the vertical strip of pixels you will need to recolour are the 9th from the left (biome are listed from zero).

    Hope this helps.

You're clearly missing the John Smith Legacy resource pack.

The John Smith Legacy 3D Models pack you're running is an add-on pack, you'll need the main John Smith Legacy resource pack as well..

Here's your answer (taken from the OptiFine Discords FAQ)

Q: Why isn't OptiFine working on Forge 1.13+?
A: OptiFine was updated long before Forge had any version available for Minecraft 1.13+. For the time being, OptiFine is NOT compatible with Forge 1.13. See this GitHub issue for more details: https://github.com/sp614x/optifine/issues/2148

    Quote from xAphexx»

Which optifine version introduced this method of CTM?

If you mean the ctm_compact method, I was just backdating some features from the my current 1.13.2 pack to older releases of my pack and thought I would update all the OptiFine versions to test the ctm_compact method.

The ctm_compact method simplifies the glass CTM from 46 textures to just 5 for each glass, this should be more efficient in the game and also makes the packs a little smaller too.

    Tested using:-

    Minecraft 1.8.9 - OptiFine_1.8.9_HD_U_I7
    Minecraft 1.10.2 - OptiFine_1.10.2_HD_U_E7
    Minecraft 1.11.2 - OptiFine_1.11.2_HD_U_C7
    Minecraft 1.12.2 - OptiFine_1.12.2_HD_U_E4_pre1
    Minecraft 1.13.2 - OptiFine_1.13.2_HD_U_E7

After lots of testing, the ctm_compact method (only using 5 textures instead of 46) all work in older releases of the game with only one exception, OptiFine 1.8.9 does not support it, so you have to use just the 46 texture ctm method for that release of the game.

    Hope this help.

They are meant to be different in the two packs, I guess during the great flattening of 1.13 (where virtually every texture was renamed) I just copied them from the JSC pack.

1.13 was the biggest change for renaming files, so I guess I messed this bit up, only all the Birch and Oak (fence, gate, wall) textures are different, the Oak texture is a little warmer in the JSL pack, Birch is quite a bit different.

Fixed, they will be in the next update.

    Thanks for pointing this out.
