Of course they matter, they're part of making an impression. Are everyone who said "no" implying that Oblivion wouldn't be better with Crysis 2 graphics? Obviously games without graphics can be good, like Dwarf Fortress, but I'm still pretty sure Dwarf Fortress would be a lot more enjoyable if it actually had graphics.

Why does that even bother you? They're little kids finding joy in a game you think is stupid, I don't see anything wrong with that. You don't accomplish much by playing games overall, they're made so you can have fun. And if you have fun, you're not wasting your life in my opinion. It's not like they'll play so much they won't contribute to society or get an education, and even if they did, why would you even care? It'd just be a couple thousand unemployed people, it will barely make a difference in your everyday life.

What game are you two talking about? DayZ has Chen which is 225KM² WarZ has one map so far called colorado which is 400km² (again going what we are told) only WarZ has hinted a "special" infected zombie and its a rare one and comes out at night supposedly and is beneficial to actively hunt for such.

Still I will hold my judgement when both official games are out and compare the two.

Didn't they say 160-170? Again, there's probably an official size, but I doubt they've increased it by 200km since they said that. They said California would be twice the size though, so the next map will be a lot bigger than Chernaros

posted a message on What's scarier?
In Slender the same thing happens over and over again. He just appears and a loud sound scares you. This repeats through the entire game, so it's not exactly scary to me anymore. Amnesia scared me so much because of all the bad things I had heard about it, making me sh*t myself every time I heard noises. After a while, it just became "Oh, another Grunt" and I carried on. Still, there's a lot scary custom stories which Slender is lacking. There's only different versions with new environments, it's still all the same... So I vote Amnesia

posted a message on Dayz or Warz
It's impossible for me to play Day Z because of all the hackers and glitches. War Z doesn't look like much yet, but it seems like it'll contain more stuff to do than Day Z. If that's a good thing or not depends on how they pull it off

However, if Day Z upgrades to ArmA III and makes a new map, it'll win by far.

I'll buy it once I see some legit game-play. I'm not an avid DayZer but I'd like to know that it either is up to par or up to its expectations.

, here and . There's more on youtube.

To me, it turned out a lot better than I actually expected. It might not have a decent engine like Day Z have, but it will looks fun to play.

I've played The Walls before, but it hadn't been any organized or fun. So I decided to try finding a good server hosting it.

I won't hack, break any rules or anything like that. I also usually know what I'm doing

Looked into it and it seemed extremely P2W. I'll be with The Dead Linger if you need me.

You can buy stuff with real currency, but it doesn't affect gameplay (out from what they've said)

And my copy/pasting took a long time, mind you

posted a message on The War Z

The War Z is a MMO set under the zombie apocalypse. It's been in production for a year and it's being developed by Hammerpoint Interactive.

It's been five years since the outbreak; leaving in its wake a post-apocalyptic nightmare with ninety-five percent of the human population gone. In order to stay alive, you will need food, weapons, and other supplies. Some of you will be able to scavenge as you navigate the terrain, others will be forced to fight for survival as you encounter zombies and other players. Every decision will have an impact on whether you live or how quickly you die.

Forget subscriptions, forget paid DLC and expansion packs. The War Z is as simple as this - once you install the game to your computer, you will be able to get into the game quickly and play without worrying about subscription fees, no hidden fees, and no paid updates.
All updates will be seamlessly delivered to you free of charge when they're released.Add AAA graphics and effects mixed with the ability to run even on integrated video cards or low end laptops and you have a unique, fun, experience that is available to everyone.

Choose one of the hundreds of servers to play on.Each Zombie Game world has an area of up to 400 square kilometers.
As more worlds become available, just switch between them at any time, without losing your character's data, or paying any "world transfer fees".Start playing in our first world "Colorado", today, and prepare yourself to join other gameplay locations scattered around the world as we release more and more content.

Create your own survival experience by selecting one of the available characters, customizing them and helping them to navigate through hostile world of The War Z.Gain experience and spend it to learn dozens of available skills in this Zombie Game.
NO CLASSES AND RESTRICTIONS, NO LEVELS, OR UNREALISTIC STAT MODIFICATIONS.
Your goal is to survive this Zombie Game and the ones that survive longest will be victorious!

As you progress through this Zombie Game, exploring what happened, you will find notes and diaries that NPCs and other players left for you. These will have hints to the whereabouts of supplies and weapons you will need to survive.
The War Z is an open world Zombie Game; as you explore and immerse yourself in this post-apocalyptic world you'll discover more than you ever imagined. You will find yourself hiding from zombies and other players;exploring hidden parts of the map and discovering hiddenstashes throughout your journey.

It's not easy to stay in touch with your friends in most games. This has been a key feature of War Z Zombie Game from the beginning. You are able to create a group, with friends, and then automatically join the same Zombie Game server together.
You will also have the option to rent and manage custom servers without leaving the Zombie Game. Players can create either public or private servers, allocating reserved slots to their friends or group members.
