Another option is to join a hosted online server I recently found. After hunting all over the internet, I found the server we're all looking for, PonyMC! This server doesn't require minelittlepony, but most, if not all people who play on that server have the client-side mod, and it's like eating cereal without milk. If you like your cereal dry, by all means you are entitled to your tastes. To see everyone else there as a pony, you need the mienlittlepony mod, the milk of the server. I'll give you guys some basic information and important references for this server in case anyone here is interested in joining. They have about fifty spare slots.

    ip: play.ponymc.com

    compatible with: 1.7.2/1.7.4

About the server: This server comes with it's own pony powers and pony classes mod. It's not nearly as rich as ShetiPhian's, but you still have distinct abilities according to your class (ie. Earth Pony, Pegasus, Unicorn). They have tons of classes to choose from. The official Minecraft version for the server is 1.7.4, but it works perfectly with 1.7.2. This is crucial because 1.7.2 is the latest available version for the mine little pony mod.

    Mod downloads needed:

lightloader installer for Minecraft 1.7.2 (the exe is much easier to install. Just click on it.) http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/1290155-liteloader-for-minecraft-1-7-10

    mine little pony mod http://www.minelittlepony.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=668

awesome websight for pony skins http://ponyskincraft.com/catalog.html

minecraft.exe (If you haven't all ready updated you vanilla Minecraft launcher to the latest version) https://minecraft.net/download

Installation instructions for people who have no idea on how to install mods:

If you get stuck at a step, reply and ask questions. If it's step one-and-a-half and you start to get overwhelmed, just read it through once to see if you can skip it. You don't have to read the explanations, but if your new to modding, it would REALLY help to gain some insight. If you don't understand them at all, they won't hurt to skip. I wanted to make these instructions as effective as possible for beginners.

    1) Download the necessary files from the links I provided and keep them in a folder where you can easily find them.

1 and 1/2) If you all ready have a "mods" folder in your .minecraft folder, or you've installed a mod loader before that uses a mods folder under the .minecraft file in your appdata, make sure all your jar mods are either compatible with Minecraft 1.7.2, or are not there. Any outdated or indated versions should be saved in a separate folder if you want to keep them. If you've never downloaded a mod in your life and you have no idea what I'm talking about, you probably don't have a mods folder at all. In other words, unless you have a sibling or friend who mods the living daylights out of your Minecraft, skip this step entirely. If you do have a friend/sibling who Mods your minecraft, drag their butts over so they can help you mod your Minecraft. Who knows how much they messed with it.

    2) Run the latest, standard Minecraft launcher.

    3) Click on "Edit Profile" at the bottom left corner of your screen.

    4) In the pop-up window, look for the "Use version" drop down menu and select "release 1.7.2" Then click "save profile"

    5) Hit "PLAY," Let Minecraft boot up, and then close the window.

explanation) When the launcher loads a specific version of Minecraft (1.7.2 in this case) the launcher creates new files specific for that version. When you install the lightloader afterwards, the installer needs to reference those new files. If you don't run the necessary version of Minecraft at least once, those files will not exist and the installer won't be able to reference them during the installation process.

    6) Find the lightloader.exe mod you installed and double click on it to install it (if you downloaded the lightloader.jar instead, try right clicking on it and opening it with java binary). When the pop up window appears, make sure the "install lightloader (recommended)" option is checked and the "chain with forge" option is NOT checked unless you've modded your Minecraft before and you know what your doing. People who chain lightloader with forge do it to play with other jar mods, but for this server, I wouldn't use forge mods at all. Once you have the right options checked (or NOT checked) click install.

    7) Find the minelittlepony mod you installed and copy it.

    8) For windows 7, Open the start menu and type "%appdata%" in the search bar and hit enter. For me, this lead me directly into the "Roaming" folder where I could find the .minecraft folder, but the folder browser might simply lead you into the "AppData" folder. In that case, click on Roaming, .minecraft, then mods. Once your in the mods folder, copy the minelittlepony mod you installed into that folder.

explanation) The lightloader will load the minelittlepony mod file by finding it inside the directory "AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\mods" This is how lightloader "modifies" your game.

    9) Before you run Minecraft, you'll need a pony skin. The link I gave for the pony skins is an excellent websight for finding pony skins. Pick your favorite looking pony from that page, and download it into a file where you can find it.

    10) Go to minecraft.net and sign in to your account. Click "profile" at the top of the page, then click on "choose file"

    11) Brows your folders for the pony skin you downloaded, open it, then click "upload."

    12) At last, you are ready to play with the minelittlepony mod, but there's just one more thing we have to do. Run the Minecraft launcher, and click on "edit profile" again like you did in step 3. Find the "Use version" drop down menu and select "release 1.7.2-LightLoader 1.7.2" and click "save profile." If you can't find "release 1.7.2-LightLoader 1.7.2" exactly, just look for something that has "1.7.2" and "lightloader" in the title and select it.

Now click "PLAY", select a world to test the mod in, cross your fingers, hold your breath and hope to dear God that it works!!!

The first things you need to know for this server:

Overview of server rules; https://ponymc.com/forum/topic/1721-avoiding-punishments/ (You'll need to read the rules posted in their signs in-game too).

    Basic commands: https://ponymc.com/forum/topic/2565-ponymc-player-commands/

Pony power commands and special crafting recipes: (This is the on-tray of the server. It just wouldn't be ponyMC without it). https://ponymc.com/kb/articles/classes

    PonyMC's official websight: https://ponymc.com/

I hope this helps people. This server is independent (and probably better off without) ShetiPhian and Fruztrated's mods. Plus his mods plain won't work at all with the server until they're updated anyway. Hopefully this will be a temporary fix, or even another option, but hopefully not a replacement, for the pixel powers mod, because the pixel powers mod is just way too awesome to be replaceable; and I'm not just saying that on his behalf. You won't find another mod anywhere in the world quite like this one. Thanks ShetiPhian and Fruztrated! :D
