the original 1.14.4 json file formatting is borked (linefeeds, CR and such) and has 2 new entries for the obfuscation maps that may bug the (java) launcher. Reformat the json (via a json editor) and remove the 2 entries PLUS* block launchermeta.mojang.com to prevent downloading the json again. Then put it analog to other versions in a "1.14.4" folder (or create a custom version) in Versions. launcher should (down)load all required files and execute.
* blocking not needed when you create it as a custom version, adjust the id in the json accordingly

Plz make it for 1.9.4

I changed 2 things in this build. version check won't alert you if the latest version is outdated. Fixed negative brightness crashing.
Oooh, it's soooo scarry!

I suspect it is due to interaction with one or more other mods or configuration changes. Could you point me to a modpack with that issue, or list what mods you are using at the same time?

Please update it for 1.8 if u can. Thanks a lot for all the hard work u put in
I'm not sure when I will have a 1.8 version available. I do a surprising amount of low-level item rendering stuff which might take a while to update, so a 1.8 version might or might not be available before I finish with 1.7.
Edit: It turns out that fixing 1.8 compile errors was easier than I thought, although in-game there are texture problems rendering items and text.
Edit again: Seems Minecraft now tracks the last texture it selected, so after some of my rendering code changed it to draw GUI bits, Minecraft didn't bother changing back. Looks almost right, minus some text colour oddities.
Edit #3: Again was MC tracking state Java-side to avoid unnecessary GL state change calls. Still seeing problems in item enchant overlay and semitransparent things like stained glass, probably due to similar things. Probably just a loop of finding where my code modifies GL state directly, finding where MC tracks it, finding how to use MC's indirection layer for that particular bit of state-change, then looking for the next part.
Edit the fourth: That was all due to blend state, and again its interaction with GlStateManager. CraftGuide item still not rendering, but otherwise everything might be working?
