    Quote from IronMagus

That's one big-ass ocean. Just looking at it in AMIDST, but it looks like there was plenty of other land off to the north and south of your position. Not that there'd have been any way for you to know that, but...

Yeah, I didn't even know what AMIDST was until I looked it up. Looking at it using my current position, there's plenty of Mushroom Islands surrounding me, and about 20 KM to the east (the route I was going) is a huge continent. I figured that around the 200 KM mark is when I'd come across a continent, however now I know just what z coordinate to stick to, thanks.

posted a message on Oceans REALLY need to have a limit
Been a while since I posted here one way or the other, but I've come across an ocean while playing on a large biome world that took over 30 Minecraft days (I didn't hold the W key constantly, I changed forward to another key that could be held down by something) to even find a decent amount of land, and even then it's only a mushroom island.

That's just the stats, (or in other words, about 115 miles) the map of the world itself looks like a huge line on first inspection. I'm only going to post a direct link to the image, but yeah, it's huge. Also keep in mind that this map is drawn to 1:16th scale, it'd be over half a GB if I tried saving 1:1, and I don't think the mapper I use would let me draw a map with those dimensions.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for big oceans. At most though, with the way oceans are, I'd say 20 minutes would be bearable.

posted a message on These days it feels like I play video games out of habit.
I'm not even sure if I'm enjoying them anymore. I just get an itch to play something, anything, even if I've played through it a million times like Kirby Super Star or Mega Man X. Yeah I'll still play modern games, but even there it's the same.

posted a message on Why not use lie detectors to determine a person's sexuality?
    Quote from TheCookiesRtasty

nahh that wouldn't work, they only detect when you are consciously lying, so if you don't know your sexuality it wouldn't work. Try experimenting :wink.gif:

I already have. I'm still not sure.

Actually would that work if a person is unsure of their own sexuality? I need a lie detector.

posted a message on Your epic cosplay ideas.
Well the way I see it the only way to go dressed on Halloween is to go dressed as two people and two sexes. So that's why my best cosplay idea is Sheik from Zelda. Or is it, Sheik is Zelda? I forget which is which sometimes.

So you see, you're a male and a female at the time (this costume ain't applicable to girls, so saurry ladies) and you're also Princess Zelda and Sheik while you're at it. For best results, be blonde.

Definitely not Wind Waker. Hyrule under the ocean would be flooded long before you even get there due to griefers.

posted a message on Family guy Vs. American dad Vs. south park Vs. robot chicken
Does Cowboy Bebop really belong on the poll? I never watched it much but it's a far cry from the original three that you listed. Ah whatever it's your poll, do what you want with it.

Family Guy these days is like 25% Seth Macfarlane singing with himself, and 10% filler. I'm fine with cutaways, but for God's sake I shouldn't have to have something to read/change to while watching a show to enjoy it.

I haven't watched Simpsons in forever but the last thing I saw of it was the Ke$ha opening and that was the most cringeworthy thing I saw that entire year.

South Park's alright, some good, some bad.

Robot Chicken is just plain annoying, it's like all the worst things about Family Guy put into a show.

Futurama, Venture Bros, and Beavis and Butthead are alright.

American Dad and King of the Hill are probably my favorite out of that list, I dunno which one I like more.

    posted a message on Ferrets?
We've had two ferrets, Butters and Harry. I'm almost certain the latter didn't have its glands removed seeing how he gave off a stench that if I had to describe was like a chicken house mixed with a dirty litter box. Speaking of...it's crazy how they always go in corners, and even more crazy that you just have to put down a litter box and they use it. Like having an insane cat or something.

We didn't have Harry for long, about a month. We weren't even looking to have a ferret, he just showed up at our door, knocked (scratched?) even. Didn't ask to be let in though, I didn't even see him when I answered. About an hour after he let himself in I freaked out like a little girl because...well, a giant rodent looking creature is eating out of your pets food bowl, what would you do? Then I realized it was a ferret and rode some sweet ass bikes with him. Turned out his owners lived down the street from us, though why they waited a month to get him when there was a bold and clear "FERRET FOUND..." sign on the entrance to the apartments is beyond me.

We had Butters for five years I think, he did ferret stuff, you know. Fight/play with cats, hiss at them, and while he bit hard when he was younger it wasn't so bad that it bled so you know I'd play with him until he got the itch to find some sock harlots. Then we got a small, yippy dog that doesn't know when it's being too rough or, you know, an ass. Then another, then they made babies, we kept one, then they made puppies again, and we kept another. After the fourth I guess it was just too much **** for one ferret to slap and his hair started thinning, he started sleeping a lot more, when he did go out he would just...look for socks and other things he could drag under the couch like dog toys.

So, we gave him to a friend about half a year ago, and while I do miss him I'm sure he's back to his old ways by now.

Oh, and ferrets make these weird squeaky noises when they're running away too...and typically they wig out while making this noise. Quite a sight seeing two cats try and corner a ferret only to have it pounce on them then bounce off and into the next room, cats trailing right behind. Kinda makes me wish we had another...a female, Margarine maybe?

tl;dr Ferrets are awesome, they go crazy like Dante, they'll confuse and bewilder your other pets, and don't mix younger dogs with them.

posted a message on **** Windows Live Games.
It doesn't save it at all? Damn that sucks.

Fallout 3 has Windows Live, but in that game it will still save it even if you're not connected to WL. There is a bit of a pain accessing your saves if you aren't connected because when you are it will save it in a subfolder in the save folder, so you have to move them.

Plus today I reinstalled Spore...and that was just a field day in itself of "OH MAN I JUST LOVE DRM THAT ****S THE PAYING CUSTOMER OVER, I'M GONNA WRITE A LETTER TO EA TELLING THEM HOW MUCH I LOVE IT."

But what do you mean it refuses to take your info? As far as I know to make a Live account you need to have a hotmail account as well, so try making a hotmail account out of the game, if you have tried that already remember that Google is your friend when it comes to solving technical problems.

fair enough. Black and White 2 done right?

Can't really say until we play it. I over-reacted a bit, I'm just a tad biased towards B&W.

I'm excited for From Dust but it's pretty much as related to B&W as Minecraft is to Ace of Spades. They both use similar elements, but they're used in different ways.

It was Skryim, but after reading about all the changes they're making, and the fact that I'll only be able to get it on console (no mods) AND seeing all the craziness they're doing with Saints Row 3...probably Saints Row 3. I'm not saying I don't want Skyrim or I'm not excited for it, it's just that after the transition from Morrowind to Oblivion I'm a bit wary.

Oh, and From Dust comes out in two days, excited about that too.
