    While people will see endermen and think "oh mine craft" they are based off of the mythical slender man. Everything other mob in the game has common roots, except for "The Creeper"

    So I truly think that the creeper is and will remain mine crafts signature mob. What exactly is it? Exactly.

    There are so many creeper related things, if you see a pig you won't think mine craft.
