    Mod Review :D

Lol, nice review man. About the Safety Block though. It's supposed to be used for the borders of the safe zones in dungeons. We decided that a block only players could pass through would be the best way to implement that and gave it a nice looking transparent texture. Also, though we're probably not going to use it for this, try stacking a bunch of them together and go inside.

Well, I don't know why you're contacting us. The other website seemed very suspicious and so I was irritated about it. But, if you do want to talk to us, then please reply to the private message I sent you. We don't have an individual owner of the mod anyway, since mojang's legal agreements make that pointless, just those who have contributed significantly to the mod.

Could the project leader of this mod contact me on skype?

My skypename is located on my profile.

    Thanks in advance,

    Owner of MCSAO

You seem to have a fake website there with a few dozen tags designed to gain hits on google. What is your actual purpose in attempting to contact us?

but wouldn't beta make more SAO sense

    NUDGE-NUDGE

We're not going for a complete role-playing experience here. We're recreating the world and allowing you to play through it with every important feature intact if possible. That last word there kind of marks the bounds for what we're going to try to do. A lot of what SAO does isn't actually possible in minecraft, so we're going to do our best to make it seem like we did it how SAO did it, or skip the feature if it just isn't going to work.

    sounds cool :) thanks...
I have alot to show you.
Sorry i cant show you some of my better work (in my opinion).
The stuff was on my old computer but that broke :( alot of textures and buildings lost cause of that.

If anything, i would like to join to just get the experience of working on a project with a developer team.
Contributes to my life and what profession im going in yet I contribute as much to you to :)

Thank you soo much and i hope i get to work with you guys

I really like the builds you've shown us. Not so much the textures, they're OK. If you're interested in being a builder I'd be glad to have you and I'd be willing to help with any java questions you had.

For the .cpp files, it's alright, if you're still a beginner you'd be learning the MCForge libraries with the rest of us. Working inside someone else's code is very different from making your own project so much so that it doesn't really compare. Game logic is also very different from usual programming logic. A lot of the most advanced coding ideas go into making it work, not to mention almost all of the 1.7.10 forge code is still obfuscated. You would need more experience to begin coding with us, since we've pretty much done all of the simple work in the mod, but like I said, I'd be willing to help you along.

    Job applying for: Builder
Experience with chosen job: I create a adventure map (I have not upload it) and Im recreating aincrad, (I didnt really create it im just making it better,http://www.planetminecraft.com/project/aincraft-aincrad-in-minecraft-from-sao/ <---- I liked the construction but the inside and the colors arent good enough).
Any extra info we should know?: Im an Otaku I LOVE ANIME!!!!

Just to clarify for other people who may be applying for builder, we're actually building a semi to-scale version of aincrad in distance. Most of our info is gotten from the wiki so far, but we currently do have a speedily working and quite large (500 block radius) building space for floor 1. That's why we're looking for builders, we need something to fill the empty space with.

    Job applying for: Coder

Experience with chosen job: I have been programming for about 3 years now, it was a hobby I picked up a while back. I have made multiple mods just to mess around and I have one in development right now. I am also a programmer on a robotics team as well as taking classes in school.

Things I am Great at: Tile Entities, Blocks, Items, Tools, Weapons, Logic, NBTData

Things I am OK at: Tesselation, GUI's, Rendering

Things I am not so great at: Packetting

It's cool that you know a lot about coding already. We are looking for people who have experience to work on the project with us and I'd be glad to have another experienced coder on the team. We are however working on this in 1.7.10 forge, so I wondered what versions of forge you made mods in before. When working on world gen I noticed a lot of code changed between 1.6 forge and 1.7 forge, and not just the block ID automatic handling.

Edit: Send me a PM with your skype info and I'll add you to our skype group and get you introduced to the code we currently have.

This is a pretty good server, the staff is really willing to help out with problems that may arise, and they're consistent about mod updates.

What are you favorite mods: Well it matters if it were a plugin I would say world edit. If you talking about a normal mod I would say tekkit.

Tekkit is a mod pack, not a mod dude. A mod might be Buildcraft, or Thaumcraft.

posted a message on Idfix and Idfix Minus: mods for resolving Id conflicts
    Quote from AUTOMATIC_MAIDEN

Someone suggested a way to specify mod priorities. I don't see how I can make that work. The order with which mods load is not decided by me, and if some mod creates a block with ID 1111, for example, and later a high priority mod loads and wants that same ID for its block, there's no way to "un-assign" it from that other mod.

I agree that there really is no way to automate setting mod priorities, it would have to be done every build and is a bad idea in general. But, I am wondering whether it is possible to make this mod leave world generation blocks alone for the most part. I was having issues with my server getting the latest greatest buildcraft, ic2, AE, forestry, thaumcraft etc... to work, and I used this mod. But, after I used it I noticed that it changed the world gen block for AE from certuz quartz to ME Fuzzy Export Pipe, which caused me to delete all my configs and go fix the conflicts manually.

It's working fine now, and it wasn't a huge deal to begin with, but I was just wondering whether the mod already left world gen alone and you needed to fix that for AE or whether you could add that in, because I don't want it messing up world gen id's if I use it.
