Hahah yeah i know that- I'm just aiming to remove the temptation :tongue.gif:
Well, you could use Convenient Inventory instead of TMI, as it includes something like the quick-crafting (the only actual feature of TMI without the GUI :tongue.gif:).
I'll release it this weekend when I finish some other improvements.
How's that coming? I actually have a new version of Phoenix to remake my merged patch for, so I'd rather not have to do it twice in rapid succession (or is that even necessary? Have you made any new changes to the base classes?)
Aww, man, damn. I used a gold axe on my treehouse by accident.
Nearly crashed the server.
Ahahaha, even so, I love NatureOverhaul's Lumberjack mode, and that's essentially what Timburr does, so it's staying on my server until NO's MP version is up.
Anyway, another request:
Can't Creep
-Disables block damage from creepers (not TNT, just creepers)
Oh good luck with server-side TMI! On a server, it only lets you create the first metaversion, and now that Wiring is packing so much into one block ID, that means you'll only get cobblestone cover plates.
Heh, sorry Eloraam, but I must respectfully disagree (without saying "you're wrong", because you're not, exactly, but...).
The default give command only supports the zero metadata, that is true, but that's definitely not an ultimatum.
That post I keep referring to with my TMI patch also explains that one :tongue.gif:
I actually did all of my testing on-server.
That video I posted showing that SMP flicker issue earlier had me scrolling through the full TMI list, even :wink.gif:
E: I suppose I should mention, unless you edit your TooManyItems.txt configuration, TMI will never show more than the 0 metadata block when you connect to a server.
The proper config when using the server patch I made is listed on the post with the patch. At least, it is now.
I am having some difficulty installing the multiplayer version of this mod.
The client version installs fine. With TMI, it comes up, not problems when placing, etc.
I followed this page's instructions to install the server version, yet it won't show on my client's TMI despite it saying that the mod loaded on the server.
You are. It's http://www.mediafire.com/?eykpbgvounbiboi - save others from same frustration when 1.6.1 will be released. Peronix + Jay's version is insufficient to show all new items.
Considering 1.6.1 isn't out yet, that's not a problem NOW.
Mine will still work better currently, as people cannot exhibit the self-control to not use the broken IDs 118 and 119, as evidenced by the massive problems people had before I made my patch, and yours does not hide them (though it also doesn't show anything but the first 16 cover plates on the other two, but those plates are just as broken)
E: Just out of curiosity, did she even mention using metavalues over 1000 anyway?
She still has a huge number of them below that number available...
Back in the day, I seem to recall it having a disclaimer about how, because computer configurations are so widely varied and untestable, it might not help, how it might hurt, and so forth.
That seems to have... disappeared since, but I would imagine it still holds some truth.
i didn't quite relize they were that advanced... but on another note..
is the counter suppose to mimic a rs latch array?, i am making a digital counter, and i want outputs for each of the stages (1 through 0), if i set the counter to 10 it won't do that.. i suppose if i made 10 counters and set them each of them 1 through 0 that would work.. also i noticed that counters lacked some sort of reset or maybe there is one and i am just missing it
E: Set the decrement to the same as the max and short the top-range output with the decrement input side of the counter.

TMIUtils.class, updated to work with coming update of RedPower. Just install TMI and then drop this file into jar. No TMIConfig changes necessary, but they will not break it either (at least, they shouldn't).
Huh?
Is that somehow different from the one that Peronix and I have?
More than likely. Either the worlds will not load, or the world generation will glitch out.
All it does is alter worldgen.
The worlds will load fine, it'll just generate vanilla land (and as such large seams where PTM meets vanilla -- worse if you used a modified water level) if you go anywhere you haven't been already.
So, if you want PTM until the unofficial update arrives, grab a copy of the 1.7.3 server now (+server PTM obviously) and Minecraft Land Generator -- when you want a world, use MLG to generate as much terrain (with the server + server PTM) as you want.
Or you can do the same thing to generate new terrain for existing worlds, just copy them to the server's working directory and make sure the server properties are set to load from it.
Obviously won't generate any ores for mods that don't have a server version (Buildcraft oil works, as does IndustrialCraft tin/copper - though at the moment not both together) or any new worldgen stuff Notch might have added, but...
MinecraftForge now conflicts on both dk.class and nw.class.
A merged patch is out of my league, but I'm really hoping you can get around to including compatibility :X
It's actually not so much Java itself as the implementation.
Java is just another language, but it's built on a platform that is operating-system independent, creating a middleman as compared to, say, C++, which is built on each operating system independently.
If there was an operating system that natively parsed Java, with properly optimized code, it would be as fast as equivalent code in C++.
And, it's actually not a huge performance drop just because of that.
The trouble stems from Notch not being very good at optimizing, along with the version of LWJGL in use being particularly unsuitable for said task as well.
OptiFine is currently incompatible with Forge, but it does a good job of optimizing the game where Notch hasn't.
Updating to Java 1.7 and LWJGL 2.7.1 also give relatively respectable performance boosts.
Ok since the Brains hang out in this forum(Looks at Eloraam) I need some help. Got all el's mods all Buildraft mods Not the version 2 Buildcraft and IC on server. PC logs into server just fine, but laptop will not log in. Laptop works fine single player but crashes when tring to log into server. There is an error but it just flashs up for a second. Need help to see what is wrong.
Mismatched ID on something that you have in the world near where the laptop is logging in.
Could be anything.
Copy all of your configuration files from the one that works to the laptop.

Press O to get rid of the GUI? Though there's no way to prevent just pressing O again to re-enable it...

The server /give command does not, by default, support the metadata flag.
Grab the improved give command patch I posted in my "Make spawning work" post.
And page 185, so convenient timing --
HOW TO: MAKE SPAWNING WORK

This wall is... odd. Not only does it go down into the water, but it's missing a segment.
This town is supposed to have filled in all that water (and the missing chunks too I would think), and it's being intersected by a great wall... What?
