MinecraftForge compatibility would be a huge boon.
If they don't have the hooks you need, it's open source, so you can get them included.
As cool as the mod sounds, I can't give up Buildcraft, RedPower, and the upcoming IndustrialCraft2 for it.
Can anybody else not craft cover panels? I'm sure I have them since I see them in TMI, but when I want one above the -15 range I can't make any of them.
TMI != Crafting
Say what you mean.
Find my "Make spawning work!" post in this thread (hint: there's a search bar up there).
SPC is infact not 100% compatible with forge, they both modify dc.class, really the only major feature you lose is instantmine, which can be replicated by typing // and using a pickaxe
Huh?
What are you talking about?
Forge doesn't modify dc.
Not having a mod packet shouldn't cause a crash, so i assumed he was missing the core..
It would if you didn't have anything initializing it.
Same reason you can't connect to a server running ModLoaderMP unless you have a mod that uses ModLoaderMP, regardless of whether you have ModLoaderMP installed or not.
AgentRenamon: One of the packages you downloaded was the server version.
(Insert "whoops!" here)
@Eloraam: That volcano is damn sexy -- I'm slightly fearful as to how I could ever play Minecraft again if you were to stop updating :S
Don't put it in the mods folder-- this mod modifies id.class and as such doesn't work when you put it in "mods."
Actually, it works if you just put id.class in the JAR and the rest in the /mods/ folder.
Of course, that doesn't make much of a difference except for keeping the JAR clean.
Known bug, and basically unfixable. You need to remove the SSP mod when playing on a multiplayer server.
Not quite. Run single-player once each time you start the game and it will initialize the climate values correctly.
That bug has been around since the first release of BiomeTerrain as I recall.
EDIT : And there are ways to make that a lot more complicated, adding clocks and repeaters for example to turn lights off in order at dawn, and turn on at dusk...
Repeaters? Why?
A sequencer set to 300 seconds is synchronized to the second after you sleep.
The two outputs that it reaches last (from where it resets to when you sleep) will make your lights start up just before the light levels start dimming, and shut off just after they stop brightening up -- I actually set one up for those streetlights after I took that shot.
hesitant to try it at first because im not a major redstone person.. but i really like the cover plates and pretty much everything you have done.. major talent in programming :tongue.gif:
Minor suggestion\request..
Is it possible to have the cover plates work with covering the buildcraft pipes? or are spacetoads pipes just slightly to big? I tried it and it obviously didn't work.. Just curious if its something to do with the pipes or with the cover plates.
:biggrin.gif:
More the fact that implementing that would require deep code tie-ins in Buildcraft, which is obviously not something to consider at this time.
It's definitely possible, and as far as I know, the pipes are exactly the same size as the jacketed wires, but Eloraam understandably doesn't want to maintain a fork of Buildcraft.

It's also now in my signature, for even MORE simplicity.
I wonder if people will see it.
EDIT: Requesting all three thicknesses of all three corner/strip sizes.
I'm using covers as catwalks, and I want to pretty up my diagonals with "slab" corners, but they're too fat.

Uh huh, because something that anybody can edit is definitely absolutely correct.
Official word is still 2-3 weeks.

If you use MCPatcher to install mods, it always puts the patches last, appropriately.
Did you install ModLoader and ModLoaderMP with MCPatcher too? It probably started with a vanilla backup.

Yep.
Can't run server on client.
You might also install more than just Core.
That won't do that much for you.

Try harder.
I'd say you need an actual RP package, like Wiring.
Core on its own won't do anything for you.

There's a little something called a patch for that.
I kinda made it.
You can look for my "Make spawning work!" post in this thread.
Or you could not cheat.
