String already affects damage, and redstone changes draw time. I personally think that longbows should not be hidden, and sort of like the way battleaxes look now. This is just me, though
Sorry, I didn't learn about the redstone thing till shortly after post.
Also, maybe not battleaxes, but definitely the cleaver.
Making the cleaver and the battleaxe have a two handed animation, like when pulling back a bow. Also appears larger in hand then in inventory. Basically, making the cleaver a greatsword, and the battleaxe a REAL battleaxe.
Also, Longbows. They need two tough tool rods and a bowstring to craft. This is a hidden recipe, like the cutlass. They are more powerful than the normal bow, but take longer to pull back. Also appears larger in hand then in inventory**
Crossbows, takes a tool forge to make. Uses two tough tool rods, a bowstring, and a large plate. Has an even longer pull back time than the longbow, but does even MORE damage. also has a horizontal render, instead of a vertical (normal) one.
String: increases ranged damage on ranged weapons (shortbows, longbows, and crossbows).
Ideas:
Armor and tools for all gemstones
add more detailed texures for some of the gemstones*
make test ores spawn in end
Add emerald tools and armor using vanilla emerald
This is a cool mod, You did a great job, since the weapons and armor modifications work even on items from other mods!
(example: Balkon's weapon mod can have a refined musket wih +1 attack)
How about a mod that adds a green liquid acid that hurts you when you touch it. it spawns at diamond level and is kinda common. Then by using 9 buckets of acid in the crafting table, you can make 10 blocks of acid to make a portal to the acid dimension that is like the nether with pools of acid. normal slimes instead of magma cubes would be as common as pigmen. Possibly add acid quartz that is the same as nether quartz except tinted the green of the acid. Make it compatible with forge please! Thx
This mod sounds cool, if iLexiconn makes it I will download it.
PS: iLexiconn, when will you be adding my mod; simply gems, to the list of mods on the first post?
Somewhere between iron and diamond,
Emerald is best (as good as diamond, but with less durability)*
then ruby (less rare than emerald)
then saphire (less rare than ruby)
then topaz (more rare than iron)
lastly amethest. (slightly rarer than iron, and as good as iron)*
*Cause diamond is the stongest substance known to minecraftia
**It evens out, since you don't have to smelt ametheyst
Ps: good texture choice for topaz.
PPS: You are awesome for creating all these mods.

**Makes sense since there is already a shortbow.

http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/679042-100-nether-better-wip-13-finally/
the person who made this seems to have given up, and it is the coolest nether mod i have found
