Ah, it seems I forgot to rename something in the code for the slab from Willow to Palm. :P Will be fixed for the next update.

As for the leaves, you're right about redwood and bamboo leaves using vanilla textures. I'll change that for the next update. The 3 grayscale leaf textures right now are Willow, Acacia, and Palm leaves (In order from left to right). Redwood will go after Palm, and Bamboo will go after Redwood (They won't be grayscale, however), if you want to do the textures in advance.

Actually, would you mind listing what is on the block sheet? I am working on a 128x128 texture as well. Most of it is my own stuff, and a few things like bark and vines borrowed from LB Photorealistic. I'd be happy to send it to you as a little 'thanks' when it's done...

I'll get some pics up as soon as I can...

BTW.. I did notice one thing... when flowers grow that are on the border of the snow biome, I only see a pink missing texture box for the ground under the flower.

    Hello,

Do you plan on making this mod compatible with the many different Biomes in Biomes o Plenty? BOP is now Forge based and has a lot to offer that would go great with Mo Creatures. Problem is the mobs in your mod do not spawn in the new Biomes, and the ones that do, spawn a crazy amount of mobs.

    All the best.

Works great with many other Forge mods I have loaded... no issues at all.

One thing I did notice, Mo Creatures only spawn in Boimes that are like default... snow, basic forrest, plains... not in all biomes.
Plus, some of the biomes are small, so you get a TON of mobs... like snow... it get loaded with Wolves and Polar Bears.

Is that a Mo Creatures thing?

Once I go to Forge, I'm not going back. I realize now that my mod has so much potential, and I just can't keep it as some small pet project anymore. Multiplayer support and increased mod compatibility are two things that the mod really needs. They're things I want as well, so I'm not just doing it JUST to please people.

I'll change the achievement IDs for the next update.

You guys rock! Thanks! :) :steve_joyous:

disregard, it's definately not your issue. I removed Mo'Creatures and Custome Mob Spawner, and I now have defaults mobs everywhere.

Thanks for porting this great mod to Forge. It's a work of art.

    Gmax92,

It seems the only default animals that spawn are the Mushroom cows, and the little red birds. I don't see anything else spawn... but if I use the insta-spawner for Mo Creatures, I can spawn stuff all day.

Is there something I missed in the world set-up? I selected Biomes O' Plenty, other than that, all default.

    Thanks in advance....

BTW... I just posted on Dr. Zharks thread.. and while doing so I realized that there are NO default animals as well. The only mobs I came across last night was a red chicken in a meadow...

So even the default mobs are not spawning... unless this has been fixed already, and I am behind the 8-ball...

    Thanks...

    Dr. Zhark,

Thanks for all the great work and keeping this mod up-to-date and expanding...

Just recently, the Biomes O' Plenty mod (http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1495041-146-modloader-biomes-o-plenty-adds-60-unique-biomes-1113/) became Forge compatible... still a WIP, but it does work and adds a whole new depth to Minecraft... problem is, your mod does not display in it. It works, but does not take into account the new Biomes that BOP adds in to MC.

Can you look into this? I do see all of the Sea Creatures in the Ocean biomes, and anything that spawns will spawn in the default MC Biomes. But nothing else....

Having these two work with each other would be an colossal improvement to the atmosphere of MC...

    Thanks again...

Hi, just my two cents, worth nutin' really....

    1. Thank you both first for making this fantastic mod, and 2, making it Forge compatible. It really takes Minecraft in a whole new direction... the massive amounts of time and energy spent on making this happen is well recieved and appreciated. Once word gets out that this is now Forge compatible, I'm sure the hits on this thread will skyrocket.
    2. I will post a request to Dr. Zhark to look into the Mo Creatures compatibility. It works in all base Minecraft Biomes, so it's obviously not your problem. I see the sea creatures in the Oceans, so I know it's working.
    3. Once that does work... I run Flan's Weapons mod, so I always 'pack heat' wherever I go in your Biomes. To have animals running around in this Mod would be completely insane... like the greatest virtual hunting trip ever concieved!
    4. If you have not tried using the "Ruins" mod with this... do so... it's freakin' fantastic! That mod, coupled with the Biomes O' Plenty makes the best atmosphere of any open-ended game I have ever played. Skyrim is graphically stratospheric in comparison to Minecraft... but... it has ends... MC is infinte, and this combo takes you there. The ruins in the Highlands, with the tall grass look picturesque. Thanks again!
    5. MAtmos ... do I need to say anything else... wow..

For anyone that is trying to mod minecraft... use MultiMC. It's way easier to use than MagicLauncher simply because you can organize and catagorize several MC versions and have all of your patches/mods/whatever... listed cleanly right in front of you. I place all my mods and upgrades in one folder, then pick and choose what I want. Also.. remember to read the 'readme' for each mod. Sometimes you have to install stuff to the MC directory...

This mod worked fine for me WITHOUT installing the Biomes O' Plenty base. All I did was add in the Forge version to the bottom of my mod list in MultiMC, changed the world when I created a new one... and off I went.

    All the best...

Flan, the mod is great I love it. It's nice to have so many choices to pick from. Booby traps, trop wires, bazookas... PIAT... LOVE IT!!!

I do have to report a bug though. The deployable style guns like the MG42 and M60 types work fine, but after a time cycle, end up 1 block over where you deploy them, if using a bunker like I have.

I'd love to post a pic of my bunker and 'killing zone' but I guess you can't without linking it to a site.

How bout some barbed wire and mines. ;)

Thanks for all the great work on this mod.

This is an outstanding mod. I have it loaded and use it, switching back and forth in MultiMC between this and my Mo'Creatures version. Sad either one can't be compatible with either Modloader, or Forge.

What makes it non-compatible? I thought Forge contained Modloader in it? If Mo'Creatures could work with this mod, it would make Minecraft the most atmospheric, and all-around beutiful "alive" scenic sandbox ever produced. For the intial cost of MC when I bought it a year ago, I've gotten my money's worth 200 fold.

Thanks for all your hard-work, just wish those two things could work together.

    All the best

So far looks pretty nice. Just keep things simple, and not too over the top. Biomes 'o Plenty is a very good mod as well that you could be inspired from. Good luck and I look forward to the newer biomes.

This is an outstanding Mod. I just spent the past 2 hours just walking around a new world and exploring the different Biomes you created. It's truly a work of art.

Your coding is really smooth and looks like it's meant to be a part of the original base of Minecraft, whereas the other Biome mods look fake and out of place.

The only argument there can be for making this Forge compatible is to run this side-by-side with Dr.Zharks Mo'Creatures mod. I can only imagine how much atmosphere the two mods combined would create.

Thanks for all your hard work on this mod.

    For anyone this helps....

I've been using Minecraft for over a year now, and mod it like everyone else. I've tried every launcher other there, and have done it manually as well. I my opinion, based on success and least hair pulling MultiMC works the best... simply because it is easy to test and check each mod as you install it without ruining your MC .jar file. It doesn't use the main MC install, it copied everything incuding your mincraft.jar to another location you specify and works with those fles.

It also has a direct link to the Forge database, so you can keep picking versions of Forge until you have the proper one.

The learning curve for MultiMC is a little steep, but once you got it down, it's really easy to use and you can run Multiple sessions of MC side-by-side with ease.

It help tremendouly while I was trying to figure out why Mo'Creatures would not work. Now that I have it all fixed, it's working great, plus I was able to add in many other mods that I use with ease.

    Hope that helps ....
