"Do you honestly expect me to believe that?" Finley shouts to the stranger, pointing to the net. "You still hold the man captive!"

(Dismas. you forgot the two men yelling at each other over a captive man in a net)

"Oh, really? How come this man identified you as the attacker, then!" Finley pushes up the brim of his hat. "Release him, foul thug!"

Finley, seeing the shopkeep entrapped by the net, leaps back in shock. "There's the villain!", he shouts, and raises his finger. Finley's eyes faintly flash into a glowing blue radiance, and an wispy orb the size of an orange speeds towards the cloaked figure, knocking the wind out of him as it slams into his gut.

(I like how this situation is descending into confusing chaos.)

(Sorry! I've been working on homework lately. I'll try to keep up with the RP.)

Finley's eyes widen, and he stumbles a few steps back. "Well, y- Did..." Finley clears his throat, and pushes up the brim of his hat. "Did you, uh... knock that man out?" Finley waves his hand towards the still-open door.

Out of the corner of his eye, Finley notices a man appearing to wear feathers dart into an open door. Near the door, on the ground, is an unconscious man. This is my chance! Finley bows to the crowd, getting their attention. "Thank you for your time, but I'm afraid the show is over!" Finley booms. "Remember: Ferguson's fruits are a fresh, fabulous fancy!" Finley tips the brim of his hat over his eyes, and pushes through the sea of market-goers. Approaching the alleyway, Finley steps over the injured man, steels his nerves, and passes into the open doorway.

Finley stands at the edge of the Great Market, a ever-shifting crowd of observers surrounding him. Finley is currently performing in front of a large fruit shop, specializing in summer fruits such as strawberries and watermelons. The shop owner, a few weeks ago, hired the amateur mage on contract, trying to drive business to the shop. So far, it appears the plan has worked. The crowd stands mesmerized as Finley works wonders with nothing more than a deck of cards. The cards flutter from hand to hand, almost as if some outside force was possessing them. Finally, the cards settle, with only one remaining in motion. "Is this..." Finley flips the card around, revealing the 2 of clubs. "Your card?" A young boy in the audience squeals in delight, grabbing the card and running off. A few generous passer-by toss coins into the circle of the audience. Finley glares at the boy, grabs a new pack from his bag, and continues the act.

    Name: Finley McCormick

    Race: Human

    Age: 26

    Appearance:

Image result for fire emblem awakening generic mage

Personality: Finley is a very nervous, cautious person, and is not prepared for the dangers of a hero's life. However, he is ultimately good-natured, willing to risk his life if it could save someone else's.

Backstory: The McCormick family has always had a natural talent for magic. Some of Finley's ancestors were mighty sorcerers, fighting off the evils of the world. Eventually, the world's evils faded away, leaving the family with no work to do. The McCormick's fell into poverty, losing their grand estates and social influence. Generations later, Finley was born, into a family forgotten to the world. His father was a woodcutter, his mother was a seamstress. As he grew up, he quickly followed in the footsteps of his ancestors, quickly learning simple tricks from his grandparents. He soon grew to adulthood, and set out into the world, determined to use his magic for the good of others. Yet, the only work he could find was as a glorified jester, preforming parlor tricks to the bored masses. I'll be needed, he thought. They'll need me eventually.

    Special Powers:

Magical Prodigy: Finley learns magic far quicker than the average human.

    Profession: Street Magician

    Other info:

Prestigitation: Preforms minor tricks. Magic Missile: Shoots a weak projectile of magical force.

Aulwin was having a very rough ride. As the construct stirred into motion, Aulwin was flung along with it. The rough stone tore at his fingers, adding slippery blood to the list of things that could cause him to become a plate-armor pancake. Somehow, he kept his grip, although his sword flew from his grip into the abyss below. With a jolt, the construct suddenly lost its golden sheen! Aulwin took the opportunity to become incorporeal, slipping inside the construct's outer shell, and exposing its inner components to his bleeding, aching hands.

(Can you describe the inside of the construct?)

I apologize for my lack of posts lately. I've been swamped with homework.

Daniel falls into a deep black sleep. Images briefly flicker across his mind, mere wisps of memories.

    Fire.

    Rubble.

    Blood.

    Steel.

What's that? Voices in the mist. Some cry in victory, others pray, even fewer cry for mercy. A familiar voice rings out.

"Hold the line, you miserable bastards!"

    Daniel remembers.

I stab a gunner, with a knife shaped like a bullet, which has also coincidentally been reduced to the size of a bullet, with a ballistic-knife launcher shaped like a rifle.
