The reason it's misspelled is probably because they are assigning lawyers to the case that fail to actually research the companies or products they offer. This happens all too often and yet people still give in to them. Sort of ridiculous, eh?Quote from okmujnyhb
This entire lawsuit is complete rubbish beacause in the lawsuit PDF it says they're suing over infractions caused by a game called 'Mindcraft'. Since Mojang have never released a games called Mindcraft, Uniloc therefore doesn't have a case. So the moral is: always spellcheck official court documents!

Knowing how stubborn Notch is, it probably will go well. For everyone besides Uniloc.Quote from Shadowgamer25
After reading into it, I am pretty much sure that this guy is just doing this to get money. He has sued MANY companies, and, surprisingly, won many of them, including one with Microsoft for $388 million. This won't go well for Mojang...

Jul 22, 2012Jake_Von posted a message on Lawsuit Filed Against Mojang - This Time, For Obscure PatentI sincerely hope they get counter-sued for things like this. Even with just one lawsuit against them, pretty much every one they tried to sue is going to jump on the bandwagon, full steam ahead, aiming at the heart of the beast.Posted in: News

It has nothing to do with security. It's an obscure software patent. Very obscure, very general and it shouldn't even be possible to patent something that obscure.Quote from wingdude100
Looks like uniloc already lost this, thank god . Security isnt worth suing about, go f*** yourselves uniloc.

Jul 22, 2012Jake_Von posted a message on Lawsuit Filed Against Mojang - This Time, For Obscure PatentIt's a shame any of those companies gave them a single penny, and it's a shame the current system of law lets them sue for the most obscure patents. People should counter-sue, and I think they could.Posted in: News

Worst of all, they are suing based on the end rather than the means. It's like the inventor of the knife suing the maker of scissors because they are both similar systems made for cutting. -

Nope. We are turning that into this:
Which just happens to be a dangerous killing machine.

I just linked you three topics that came before this one that suggest the same thing. Just because you didn't see them until then doesn't mean they weren't there, and that is why you use the search function.

1. We have every right to criticize an idea that you want in the vanilla game, since we would all be affected. But I agree, it was inappropriate for them to only say that there is a mod for what you are looking for. It adds nothing to the discussion.
2. If your Caps lock got stuck, why didn't you use Shift?

No, I'm fairly certain it's unoriginal.

75 supporters out of the millions who have bought Minecraft. You must be proud. It's not a bad idea, but it isn't all that original, and the name is still misleading. We already have islands that can be of any biome, including jungle, a tropical biome. As I said before, in effect, we already have tropical islands. Granted it's not similar to this idea, but it is still quite possible to have islands which are tropical in Minecraft.
As for how unoriginal it is...

http://www.minecraft...ipelago-biomes/
http://www.minecraft...and-palm-trees/
http://www.minecraft...-useless-biome/
http://www.minecraft...ropical-island/
And that's just part of them. I won't even go on about how unoriginal sea life, banana trees, and monkeys are.

Why yes, I do know that. Did something I say make you think (very wrongly) that I did not, or are you just incapable of rational thought?
Or maybe you just misread my post.

Would the game crash?!?!?!Because you can't craft Command Blocks in Survival Mode.

This post was made prior to the announcement of the Redstone update. Further more, it's a different concept entirely.

Actually, that's more OP, and it obsoletes TNT cannons, something I don't want to happen. The TNT fragments deal decent damage, but aren't as devastating against blocks.
