posted a message on Why most are hating 1.9?

Because weapon cool downs suck. There are too many mobs to have to wait a year between swings. It's also utterly altered the pacing of the game in survival mode. The last few patches already made safe building time dwindle to a tedious minimum with storms and mobs that survive during the day. But now those mobs each take a solid minute to fight, %5 of your daylight time! The game is essentially forcing me to play its combat mechanics with a shield and penalizing me for wanting to build. I shouldn't have to play of a straight up godmode creative server. There's such a thing a s balance and this game has lost sight of that entirely.

Do you like 1.9? I know many people dont but I do! And I want to know why you do or why you dont because I am curios.

Undecided. I finally got to sit down with it and I honestly found it a little frustrating. My difficulties are coming from combat, and I'd guess I'm just doing it wrong. But it feel like I can't just hit an enemy anymore. The game is forcing me to play with a shield at all times which is eating into my building time even more. As the difficulty has been ramped up in the last few iterations, safe building time has already dwindled to a minimum. I don't feel like we should have to be on a peaceful creative server just to get to place two blocks before we end up in a minute long battle with a single enemy. But again, I may just be doing it wrong.

It's the weapon cool down. Is there any way to mitigate this? It take 3 and 4 times as long to deal with single mobs now. It's utterly changed the pacing of the game and I'm not especially impressed.

Nope! I'm still trying to find out why you can't get in the dynmap, we have nothing in our settings that should block you. Can you post a screenshot of what you're seeing?

I have been able to access it occasionally via VPN, though Enjin has decent security that doesn't play particularly nice with VPNs. I have tried to access it from three different browsers, including fresh installs with no security software such as adblockers or ublocker. Nothing works. It's the only part of the forum that doesn't work. I have also verified that it's not being blocked by my firewall. As best as I can tell I'm being blocked from the source.

posted a message on WorldEditWrapper - use WorldEdit in Single Player

I too am having crashes when I try to open a world, including new worlds created from the liteloader profile. Here's a log.

EDIT: I figured out the problem. I've already ran the client in 1.8.6 and had the render distance set to 32 chunks, which apparently wasn't supported by 1.7.10. Putting it down to 10 chunks has fixed the problem. Give this a try if any of you have this same issue.

posted a message on Looking for specific feature on a map renderer

    Hey everyone.

Back in ye olde days of Minecraft there was a map editor that was top down and allowed you to look at elevation in 1 block slices, sort of like an MRI picture. I have a complex organic build in a creative map I'd like to reconstruct in survival and being able to build it slice by slice would save hours. Is there such a map editor/viewer available today that works with a modern build of the game?

    You can?

You can, but seeing as how you didn't know that int he first place I also assume you don't know much about how your ISP operates. Some ISPs require you to activate the mac address of the device you're using to connect to their servers. For this reason you really should call them before you go trying to be all Mission Impossible with your setup.

Contact your ISP, ask for technical support, explain to them what you typed here, and they will likely release your IP and assign you a new one which, in theory, should solve your problem for the moment. That said, if this guy tracks you again on the same server you'll just be doing it again. If you're lucky your ISP will be proactive and track him for the purposes of reporting him to the proper authorities but...meh, in real life that's not all that common an outcome.
