I updated the Village Square with everything I've done since the 1.8 release. Overhauled all the GUI's and a lot of other tedious things that had been there since my first release. Here's a preview of some of the blocks I did recently.

I'm trying to match everything up style-wise but I have a ways to go.

Another in-between-updates update is up. I've been slowly redoing all the block textures that are over a year old and working on colors and stuff. Fancy new stone blocks and mushrooms await, as well as a few new models.

Not trying to belittle your condition, just general ignorance to it.

Can you not still tell the difference? I mean the color interpretation is largely on how we learn the associated name. Regardless of the actual color you are seeing, a stoplight we all know the top light is red, middle is yellow, and the bottom is green. So if you are technically seeing green, but you learned it by the name red, then there is really no difference in the end, no?

No problem at all. Like, I know that say, grass is green, it's picking the right color for my grass that's the hard part. Computers make it easy thankfully, or colored pencils with labels, but there've been times where I've been coloring with charcoal or un-labeled pencils in class and have apparently made one section of grass magenta. For my pack, I have a few devoted "proofreaders" to help me out just in case.

I got 135. I'm red-green colorblind, so it doesn't exactly surprise me. If it weren't for hex code and the color picker tool I doubt I'd even have a pack!

I spent some time with my gui

Glowstone's concept (still needs work to be done in this field until finality) New endstone (Which is also the menu background) and adjusted the end portal frame edited the diamond (and due to 1.8 allowing for partial transparency, made items that work with it) (redstone, diamond sword, diamond and emerald) (example of why my stones are the colours that they are) (explantion for that: since the colors aren't too far off of each other, they retain a similar tone/feel which allows them to better meld with the default stone and their ores so it feels more together imo) resource/server selector arrows Stream icons The widget file (forgot to remove the white background)

I love the new stone, so smooth and nice. I should try to move away from the cobblies as well. The endstone and portal frams also stand out to me, very nice.

looks good, i don't usually use 16x RPs but this one is REALLY good.
also, would you consider turning this into a 32x RP? if not, oh well. but either way, amazing job! :)

I've tried working in 32x before and really liked it. After I get all of the update stuff taken care of, I'll have to experiment more with it, see if I can keep the style with a larger resolution.

Been working a lot on models and junk lately, finally up'n learned how to use them. Here's what I've done recently.

New bed and ladders, and the red sandstone.

    More in the spoiler.

Ugh, ignore the potion effect ^^; I had a lot of fun making the hoppers.

I've always thought the dragon egg looked out of place. Square dragons now lay square eggs :)

    Beacon, cube like the egg

Dispenser and Dropper, glad I can make them not look like the furnace now

    Leafy 3D reeds

Mapped all of the fences, like I had it in MCPatcher. Glad to have it in Vanilla, it was one of my favorite parts of MCPatcher.

Lil' shrooms. I tried to make them look as simple as possible.

all the doors, and my lazy models. I didn't wanna bother with fixing the jungle and acacia models around my textures, so I made them all work like the Vanilla door, with backface culling (I believe that's what that is here).

    And my new iron bars.

I also made variants for grass and ferns. Some of them are adapted from my MCPatcher addon pack.

Now I just have to fix bugs before the update! :o

I spent all of this morning making a natural-looking dragon texture, since my Enderdragon is alien-like.

I got to the second wing when I realized I was working in 32x by accident. This thing is gonna look weird next to a normal Enderdragon :/

Do the colors look okay? I can't really tell the difference between the tongue and the body colors, but I've been told they're different. It's not too bright, is it?

It seems as though every block I've made can't have torches/doors/beds/whatever placed on it. Is there a way to allow this?

Jeah I only use Recipes with alias, so I'm able to change things easier later without to go through all the Recipes :)

One new thing if you didn't use this mod a long time...
the ID's or names are now
for vanillastuff (for example the stick) "minecraft:stick"
the "minecraft" there tells the mod whether to look for it in vanillagame or in a mod.
so for your own mod it's more like
    "modname:itemname/blockname" :)

was really weird at the beginning but once you got everything, it's much simpler than earlier^^
If you need the "codenames" for vanillaitems just look the block/item up on the minecraftwiki ;)

This actually answered my next question, was wondering why I couldn't get any recipes involving my own mod to work. I figured since the mod itself was declared just one line up, I wouldn't need the header. Glad to know otherwise, time to set up some aliases. Thanks!

Ah yeah, that's right! Thanks! It's been about a year since I've used this mod, I either forgot about the zeroes or figured they were done away with like the rest of the ID's.

And the "Stick" in the recipe is an alias, I assume?

Hey CubeX2, very impressed with how far the mod has come. It's so much easier to use now that the ID format has changed. It's perfect for someone like me who just wants new building materials.

Anyway, quick question for anyone who knows. Regarding recipes, how would one refer to the blank space, like that around the sticks when crafting a pickaxe?

Those Enderman are lookin' way cool!

I've been redoing a lot of basic blocks in my pack. I've compiled the old ones and the new ones together, and want to know if there are any old blocks that aren't improved on the new sheet, or that looked better before.

    OLD

    NEW

The blocks and items in question are:
First Row: Oak Log, Birch Log, Acacia Log, Dark Oak Log, Oak Leaves, Jungle Leaves, Iron Block, Gold Block
Second Row: Spruce Planks, Acacia Planks, Jungle Planks, Dark Oak Planks, Coal, Diamond, Lapis, Emerald
Third Row: Stone, Redstone Ore, Iron Ore, Gold Ore, Coal Ore, Diamond Ore, Lapis Ore, Emerald Ore
Fourth Row: Netherrack, Quartz Ore, Limestone, Schist, Shale, Slate, Pumice, Basalt

The last 6 blocks are for a mod I've been working on.
