The reason why blocks can't be enchanted is, ALL blocks are stackable.
And stackable items cannot be enchanted.
That means if a block was enchanted through hacking the max-stack limits and NBTEdit, if you attempt to stack that block with a non-enchanted block, it would stack the two and overwrite the enchantments.
The only way to prevent that is to make crafting tables and furnaces non-stackable; do you really want that?
Uh, yeah. I wouldn't care if they could stack or not. You don't need more than one crafting table at a time and even if you do want more for multiple locations, just carry a stack of planks and you can make 16 of them from that (More than any sane person needs). Furnaces are slightly more useful as a stackable item but still not hugely important. Again, you could just carry a stack of cobble to make yourself 8 furnaces. I doubt your inventory is THAT full to be able to do this.
Yeah but the prices of the merchant will need to be VERY overpriced and he has to be VERY cheap. Otherwise it would be too unbalanced. Also the merchant cannot sell things other vendors sell.
I think it would be impossible to make it so the merchant doesn't sell what the others sell. But as long as you have the merchant selling everything at inflated prices over what a normal villager will sell it for, it is still worth checking out what all the others have for potential discounts.
I like the idea, but I think that having certain items in it (Enchanting Tables) would be SO expensive that nobody would/could ever buy them.
It doesn't make a ton of sense to me. I get you want blast-proof blocks that you can move, but I don't see a big demand for it. Plus I can't see people using 8 obsidian to make 4 "aerated obsidian" .
Honestly I do agree. But my housing ideas could have different purpace. Maybe for biome specific villages.
That isn't a new idea. There are already unique villages in desert biomes so i'm sure it will only be a matter of time before they exist in the other ones too. Your builds a a bit haphazard anyway...don't seem to fit well into the biomes.
Idk why everybody thinks that saying there is a mod for the idea is a legitimate response. If we wanted a mod we would get it, not make a suggestion. Guns were not a part of this suggestion nor was excessive numbers of zombies. It is a normal minecraft world essentially just with a few post-apocalyptic tweaks.

haha, are you suggesting you want to see the creepers genitalia?

Why would you want this? Specific reasons would be great.

This wouldn't work due to different enchantment types.

That is a pretty ignorant thing to say.
It isn't right now, but it could obviously be added.
This comment is like going into a thread about colored light and saying "Colored light isn't possible!" because it isn't in the game right now.
OT: I like the idea, but as others have said it would need to have some sort of lifespan on it so that it isn't too over powered.

I do think it is a good idea to limit how much water comes out or else it would be a really easy way to kill anything that comes through.
I'll support.
