    Yep, DokuCraft.

Maybe it has something to do with Doku. Have you tried switching to the Vanilla textures and seeing if it was still like that?

Yeah I am using a mob mod. Elemental Creepers. Should I uninstall it?

That shouldn't cause NPCs to appear, at least not ones like that. Is this on a server, and/or are you using a texture pack? Those might effect the textures.

posted a message on What are your goals/achievements to do in minecraft?
Well, I do have a goal to terraform this ravine I've found near my base into a jungle paradise, with vines and trees everywhere. But then I found out that part of it was a slime chunk, so that's suddenly more interesting. There goes the trees and vines that would interrupt the spawning.

Since NPC's aren't shaped like that, then I'm assuming you're using NPCs from a mod or mods, right? It's probably just a bug in the coding for that.
Log out, then log back in. It should fix it. If not, than reinstall the mod.

Or, that could be a player in a skin. If so, can't help ya' there.

    Don't you mean leather?

Depends, if he's talking about tools or armor. They're about the same, as the lowest tier, so it's not much of a difference anyways. Okay, there is a slight difference, but only because it's harder to get leather than wood.

Also, last thing, if I were you, I would really update both of the OPs, right now they are kinda out-dated, I would suggest you read them and just re-write or update *whatever is necessary in order to reflect the changes in recent Minecraft versions, specifically, Minecraft 1.4.

Had to fix a silly typo here, but yeah, I totally agree.

Oh, so the server is goin' down, then. Aw, man.
Well, will you reveal the seed for it now?

You should try using maps. Maps are fun, and they tell you the lay of the land. Unless you cave really far away for some reason. Then just remember the coordinates of your house.

Uhm... well, care to explain anything about the server? Like, what kind of server is it (as in, a PvP server, a Survival Games server, a Creative server, etc.), any plugins the server has, and any rules about the server or whatnot?

Hmm, you could try loading the seed with AMIDST or another third party program of the like and then just scrolling around until you find land of a suitable size.

posted a message on Dysfunctional Spider Spawner Trap.
    Hmm..
If you want to increase the direct rate of spiders coming out of the spawner, the only thing I can really think of is to bring another spawner into the equation.
From my understanding, spawners spawn 1-4 mobs of the certain type around 30 seconds to one minute. Since to my knowledge, lighting up the areas around won't increase that rate, I don't think it's possible without adding another way to get spiders into this, like as said, from a second spawner.

Maybe there's something about it on the MinecraftWiki, but that's all the help I can really give, sorry.

posted a message on Dysfunctional Spider Spawner Trap.
I'm assuming that th' trap is based from a Monster Spawner, so lighting things up really won't help with that, as they're not like natural spawns, they get a different form of spawning mechanics, if that's a good word to describe it. Monster Spawners only spawn mobs when you're ~16 blocks or closer to the Spawner, so ya' need to be right there by it for any spiders to spawn. Also, what kind of trap is it, like a fall damage one or what? Because depending on the kind of trap, spiders may get jammed somewhere, those tricky little buggers.

posted a message on The Minecraft "Tutorial"
I think that this idea of a tutorial is a bit too advanced for just the beginning. I'm more in support of something more on the lines of a recipe book - an item that you first spawn with, and it gives you crafting recipes and simple stuff like that. When I first started playing, that's what gave me the most trouble.
Maybe there could be something like some very starter advice, like, how to punch trees (Maybe another book, or maybe something like they have on the XBOX version), but I think something as complicated and big as this is a bit too much. As Kicker said, Minecraft's the game of discovery. I doubt it's intended for you to enter your first world knowing everything.

Whats the purpose of the Wither? What does he drop, where does he come from, ect... I never pay attention to the snapshots unless its really close to the new update. :D

I suggest reading the Wiki, as it can explain the Wither much better than I can. Here ya' go:
    http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Wither

A bit off topic, but still responding to ya', I do think that Dinnerbone's done an even better job than Jeb and Notch have been. I mean, Jeb's added a lot of silly and near-useless things into the game (Look at Villager Trading), and Notch really has just done some stupid things (He opposed the remaking of Enchanting so that it's actually feasible without giant mob grinders, for example).
In my opinion, Dinnerbone's the only good hope for the game to continue to improve, instead of stagnating.
