Well, I'm impressed, with only three hours invested into the project. Definatly better than what I could do with the same timeframe. Do you have any pictures of it anywhere?
I think that the medeival weaponry would probably be the best idea, but most people are suggesting the smaller ideas. Go big. Make some seige weapons! Catapults, trebuchets, cannons, stuff like that! It'd be great for SMP, and even without they'd be good decoration for a castle or something. The smaller weapons will be good, but I totally think on that scale swords and bows are fine.
I've found the best way to figure out how many Testificates you should get is by dividing the number of doors (D) by 100, then multiplying it by 35, and then round down to find the average number of Testificates (T)
Pretty much the equation is this:
D/100x35=T
It's worked so far for my Village, but about three doors per Villager uses much less math for approximately the same result.
I would probably make it underground, and have lava around it. I know from experience that it's one of the best X-Ray blockers, and if you do it right you can use it like lighting. Using obsidian is also a good way to keep them out, and building away from spawn will be nice too. Anyway, if the server you play on gets griefed too much, I would find a new one.
I think a hilarious use for pumpkins would be like saddles for pigs: You could put it on a mob and they'd wear it like a hat, like Snow Golems already do. I would also like food from pumpkins, but it would always be humorous to look outside your window and see a cow with a pumpkin as it's face. And on these same lines, using a Jack-O-Laturn would make it light up, too.
I think my best moment was when I discovered my first dungeon: Skeleton spawner, and with cocoa beans and "Cat" inside. Took me four tries to get in, it was a surface spawner and I only had stone tools.
i personally like the xbox and pc versions of minecraft and was well worth my 1600 MS points. I can play the pc version of the game at like 120 fps, but i've grown to like the xbox version mainly becuase its based on 1.6.6 which is good for me becuase i prefer the lack of endermen and hunger bar
Honestly, I enjoy the XBOX version, and I think it was worth it, but I still have to say I like PC version better. If they updated the XBOX version, I think it'd be much better for my taste.
I completely agree, the caves are getting way to excessive. I mean, now I can't even build underground anymore without running into a ravine, or a cave, or whatever. At first it was nice, but I mean.... There's just a point when it gets on my nerves. And that point was probably about 1.1. Jeb, fix your terrain generation!
Well, recently I've found a Spider Dungeon near enough to my base that I can connect them together. The problem is that first off, they're spiders, and second, that the dungeon is at y: 25. Normally I just do the 20-something block drop to put them at about a heart left, but spiders will just climb on the walls and clog up the system, plus it's too low down for the fall damage to work. Does anyone know any way to make an efficient trap from this, where I still get the EXP?
If you can tell me anything that can help, thanks.

Good god, 120 fps?

Iron Golem drops, if you can make the Village big enough. And zombies rarely drop 'em.

By a piston crusher, you mean like a suffocation trap, right? That might be a pretty feasible idea.
