posted a message on Help! UDK is not working (this is for the editor, not a game)
I am sure that my PC can handle it, I checked the requirements and have played some pretty high quality games on it. When it crashes there are no error logs I don't think.

Sorry I haven't replied in a while, I've been really busy.

    Err yeah no.

You have no idea what you are talking about. UDK and Unity are on equal terms (and in many ways Unity pulls ahead quite a bit).

Yeah, but what about the graphics? I'd bet you that Unreal Engine would have better graphic quality. Search for Unreal Engine 4 Real-Time demo and see if it's still not as good as Unity :P

Unity = Good for starters and basic games
UDK = Good for intermediate and serious games

Unreal Engine has visual scripting and better graphics, although it's up to you to choose which engine to use.

Don't listen to them. Anyone can make a game, even a 12 year old. But you have to know what it takes to make a game.
First of all, making games are never free. You are going to need a lot of money or some funding. Also, I don't think that making the game in java is a good idea. If you're starting out, use Unity. It is free to use and is 3D high quality. You'll need to know some programming, too. You might need to hire some programmers to help make the game for you. Making games takes time, and big places with huge teams of developers still take years to make games. Your game is going to take a while. But never get discouraged. Start with some simpler, smaller games, maybe even 2D ones. Work your way into more advanced and take time to learn everything. With the right ambition, you can accomplish anything. And if you need funding, Kickstarter is a good place to start. But keep trying and keep me updated. If you use Unity to make it, I can help you for free :)
Most people will want you to pay them to work for you, but I will help for free as long as you include me in the credits. I am good at level design and ideas and stuff like that.

    Good luck!

posted a message on Help! UDK is not working (this is for the editor, not a game)
I have downloaded newest version of UDK on Unreal Engine's website.
I wait for it to fully download, then I install. It installs perfectly.
Then I go to open the editor, and it waits a few seconds, then a window comes up and says
UDK.exe has stopped working. Then that's it. I can't ever open the editor!

    Things I have already tried:
    -Reinstall (didn't work)
    -Different Version (didn't work)
-Virus and Malware and Spyware scans (didn't work)
    -Clean Registry (didn't work)

Can't think of much more to try.
I will post a video of what happens soon.
Please help, I have a game planned out and I need something to make it with! :P

P.S. I already looked into alternative game engines, I want Unreal Engine!

posted a message on Any fun survival games?
    7 days to die
    The Dead Linger
    Terraria
Starforge (you dont really "survive" you just defend your base from waves of attacks of aliens)
    Stranded 3

And wait for my game to come out. I am going to develop a game one day that you have to do extreme survival and very realistic. You survive on an island and hunt dinosaurs. It may be many years before I make it but don't lose hope. I just have to wait until I'm older :P

Take a look at this website for a list of survival games: http://watchsurvival...h-survival.html

posted a message on Please Help Me With My Minecraft Map (Dont Need It Anymore)
Build cabins and mountain shops. Build some roads up the mountains and trails for bikers. Make a bicycle shop, a grocery store, and maybe a clothing store (because people will need coats and stuff in the cold mountains). The cabins can give places for people to stay. Build some in town and build some out in the country. Think of a snow mountain town you know of in real life and try to replicate it to make your snow town as realistic as possible.

    Hope this helps! ;)

posted a message on Need building ideas for a city
You should build the city off a main highway and make an avenue. Build a commercial area, industrial area, and residential areas. Build a few tall office buildings or skyscapers if you are building a modern city.
If you are building a medieval city, build a sand/cobblestone road to your city and make a wall around your city. You should build the wall of wood and inside just build random medieval cottages, blacksmiths, and other medieval buildings. If you want, build a palace.
If your city is medieval, it would look best if it was on a coast near an ocean, so you can make a docks and build ships and stuff.

    Good luck! :)

posted a message on NEW GAMEMODE SUGGESTION FULL OF ACTION!
Minecraft should have a new game mode called "Arena". Choose Arena when you start the game, and you will spawn in a huge arena. Choose your class. You can be Zaran the Ranger or Crusher the Warrior. Then, charge into battle! Each wave is increasingly difficult, and the boss wave is Wave 20. On Wave 20, you must fight the Enderdragon. The arena is big enough so he can fly around but he cannot fly out. If you kill the Enderdragon in the arena, you win the game mode. The "Big Wave" is on Wave 10. You will have to fight 2 skeletons, 2 zombies, and The Wither.

Pretty much. If it wasn't this way, people would buy a game then trade it off and just keep one game, constantly replacing it. It would KILL Steam. Steam's planned game-sharing functionality will allow something similar to that in moderation. Anyway, I actually DO have a Magicka key I'm not using, but I might choose to use it on myself and don't want really want The Universe Sandbox.

    You have a magicka key?!

I really want it please! If you want to keep it I won't get mad.

But I SEVERELY WANT THE GAME

....You should have posted this a month or so ago when the Paradox Weekly Sale was going on.

Sorry didn't even know about Magicka until last week. Tried the demo and I love it. :P

...You should also know that you can't trade your old Steam games out of your library.

    Why not?

Once you buy a game, you're stuck with it forever?

EDIT: never mind i figured it out.
