    posted a message on Making a Modpack but some serious lag issues

    I've been trying to make a modpack of my own, but I have been having some serious lag issues with it.


    Here is the modlist:


    I've tried tweaking settings in both optifine and betterfps, but neither seem to give substantial FPS gains at all. Some other packs (such as All The Mods) have significantly better FPS than what I'm working with here. My specifications are as follows:


    • AMD FX-8350 Processor (Stock Cooler with Stock Speeds)
    • 32 GB of DDR3 RAM (10GB of which is dedicated to minecraft via settings.)
    • SAMSUNG EVO 250 SSD (The only internal drive on my system.)
    • AMD R9 390X GPU
    • ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z Motherboard
    • Windows 10 x64
    • Java Version 8 Update 162 (I am not using the included java version with forge, I am instead manually choosing the 162 update's version every time I launch the launcher.)

    I was wondering how I would go about increasing FPS rates with this modpack. Once Thaumcraft / Mystcraft are updated, I will be adding them too if and when, so hopefully they won't bog down FPS increases from here.

    I already broke the map to the point I need game mode creative actually. I set down the shears in this room below on that gold block past the door:



    Now I can't finish the map without restarting it. Oh well, nice work so far. I only play maps in succession, so I won't play Mizzle II without playing the first.

    posted a message on Can't seem to use 7-Zip with Minecraft.jar to put files into the Jar
    When I try to add files to a jar file (even with Open archive > zip on the jar file) 7-zip will complain that the operation is not supported. Is there a way around this at all WITHOUT extracting the contents of the jar or changing it to zip?

    I'm not going to accept "Use WinRAR" or "WinZip" or the like.

    I downloaded Optifine Ultra 1.6.2 B4 manually and put it into the internal mods folder, the version is labeled as ??? and status is "Internal Mod"

    It doesn't work in this way, nothing appears for Optifine in-game with magic launcher this way.

    No crashes occured.

    I was going to make an SP Map with this, but I guess that won't happen. Main reason I want this to happen is because I want players to auto revive in a specific coordinate rather than using spawn points via command blocks. (Saves some space in map design.)

    So apparently, it won't let me add enchantments to items manually:



    I need to change this tagcompound's name to ench for that to work. I also need to make it so the list under this tagcompound has no name. See this video:
    So apparently, it's a tagcompound, and not a taglist for the first bit. Which is strange because it doesn't list such on the external one in the video.

As you can see in the video, that results in a player that had a player name 'Player' in that case (since he changed the password to not match, so the mojang login fails), whereas the other one had Breny's actual account/player name (also notice the player skins).

    So if you have your own server (preferably local or LAN server that is not public), you can do the same trick. But on public servers doing that is not recommended, since anyone could join with anyones player name if you have online-mode=false. And if you have online-mode=true, you can't connect twice without separate accounts.


    I did what his video said to do though, and it still shows End of Stream >_> (online mode to false.)

    What do you mean by second time? With the same account twice? I don't think that is even possible, since the server wouldn't know how to handle the clients, since they are "the same client" if they have the same account/player name. I personally use a different account for my "camera man". If you want to do third person recordings with only one account, you should check out the Camera Studio mod (there is a link in the original multishot thread original post). (In 3rd person mode Camera Studio creates a fake client side duplicate of the player that is used for recording.)


    Then how does this work?
