    From what I understand of the process, though it still hasn't worked for me, SMP_Server is only a placeholder for the folder that you actually put the "Minecraft_Server" file in- the original, lone server file that you double-clicked to unpack the rest of the server files, including "world". So, if you want to import a singleplayer map to SMP, you just copy the SP folder of your world and paste it directly into the MP folder directly, so your World4 folder is next to the default world folder that is created, which is in the same folder as the Minecraft_Server exe file. It just doesn't seem to want to work for me.

    In short (and in answer to your question) you put your world4 map folder into the original server folder, you do not create a new SMP folder. This is what I understand from the instructions.

    If it helps, here is the contents of my server properties file (either for other people, or for a resolution to my problem):

    #Minecraft server properties
    #Sun Oct 03 21:23:07 CDT 2010
    online-mode=true
    monsters=false
    server-ip=
    server-port=25565
    max-players=20
    level-name=World1

    Actually, the map looks like a regular map, but it has stone as surface tiles, whereas normally you only find stone on cliffs/mountainsides or underground. Plus, there are little hunks of floating stone and dirt.

    The SMP_Server folder is whatever folder you ran the "Minecraft_Server" file to unload the other 6 or 7 files and the "world" folder. I am putting my World1 folder in there, changed the server properties file to reflect that I want World1 to be loaded as opposed to world, and yet I get a randomly-generated map with weird tile placement and torches.

    I'm having an issue with bringing my single-player map into Multiplayer. I've setup the server and copied my World1 folder into the server folder. However, the map that loads is, conspicuously, NOT my map- it appears to be a randomly generated map, though the tiling is a little out of whack (vast fields of stone on the surface of the map, floating blocks, etc.); I've looked for several minutes and have been unable to find any of my structures; in addition, there appear to be randomly-placed torches. I have been able to connect to my brother's server with no problem. Any help would be appreciated!
