posted a message on [1.2.5] Boss Mobs: Yeti (v2.0) Add bosses to your SSP world!
I think I should point out that the download doesn't seem to have been updated, and it's been a few days. I just got it fresh and there is nothing different in the files. Unless, of course, the update is taking a long time to update... updateception!

    Quote from MykelCa

Am I blind, or is this completely missing a D/L link?

Indeed, there doesn't seem to be a link for a straight download (if there is it's well hidden), but there is a link at the bottom of the OP that one can go use, then navigate to the actual download from there.

Another possible suggestion: Spawn eggs for Creative mode. Flying around for several minutes and hoping some yetis spawn gets tedious.

Stone bricks! It's my main building material, with decent looks and great explosion resistance.

posted a message on What kind of Minecraft player are you?
I'm an adventurer (explore ALL the caves!), hoarder (my storage rooms grow to capacities of thousands of items over time), engineer when necessary (automatic doors and minecart track systems), farmer, protector (when I find a village), and miner.

    My current methods?

Aboveground: Flatten a large area, then build my fortress/house on it.
Underground: Dig a staircase into the side of a hill, usually to the bedrock, and clear out a settlement. The void fog and lava pools can be annoying, but the feeling of living so far underground is exciting.

posted a message on Endermen... scary crap. (anything like that happen to you?)
I was on Normal mode, exploring a very large and very dark ravine. It was the deepest part of the night, at about 2:00 A.M.; all lights were off and the only thing that could be heard was my footsteps in Minecraft. I gazed up in awe at the magnitude of the formation... just as an Enderman teleported out of nowhere, right in front of me. This was the first time I had seen one. Extremely shocked and terrified, I jumped back in my chair, screaming, as the thing slowly looked at me. Then it promptly opened its mouth wide and jumped at me because my character looked at it.

It was days before I turned Peaceful off, and weeks before I got to exploring the ravine again.

posted a message on What is your absolute favorite block?
Stone bricks. They're a strong building material but can still be mined quickly, they're not very hard to make, and they look decent.

Dig out a house deep underground and develop a fully autonomous settlement over time.

That, or I just build a good, sturdy house aboveground.

posted a message on What's the Saddest Thing you've Seen In Minecraft?
I'm not sure. Maybe it was the time I vowed to come back to a village I'd come across and help them prosper and be safe from attack. After a few days, I came back to fulfill my promise. It was a ghost village, with every door broken down, and every villager dead. I just stood in shock after I realized I failed those villagers.

Or maybe it was the time I saw a baby slime happily hopping along, then accidentally committing suicide by jumping off a ledge that was a little too high.

Then again, it could be the time my favorite wolf fell off the edge when I was exploring a ravine.

posted a message on What do you do once you find a village?
    1. Explore the village and get anything of use from their chests.
    2. Build and settle in a house of my own.
    3. If I feel like it, I will stay and improve the village, using stone bricks rather than wood, replacing their existing houses with larger, better-built houses, and adding some. I also replace the gravel with cobblestone. This all depends on the village's size: If it's a few buildings, sure. If it's a small town of a hundred or so buildings, it would probably be too much work. If I don't feel like helping them out, I lock away some villagers so they don't all die and I don't come back to a ghost village

posted a message on What Do You Prefer? No. 2!
I like swords regardless, but functionally, I prefer them over a bow. The bow needs charging and ammunition, and the sword itself is all it needs. Loot can be immediately retrieved, it's faster, etc.

posted a message on New block ideas
Rather than add an entirely new block (coral, which, as stated above, is pretty much inedible when wild), sponges (already in the game, but only Creative) could be generated with the map. More fitting for food is the fact that there is an edible species of real sponge.

posted a message on What have you done recently?
I recently cleared out a small settlement at bedrock level, and rarely surface. That will change when my mineshafts stretch too far and I move to another environment to thrive in.

posted a message on What do you make your house out of?
Obsidian between the tough stone brick walls on the outside and decorative (wooden slabs, usually) inner walls if I'm aboveground, plus flooring material. I use decorative blocks to line my cave houses.

    1. Mountains. Many have said it, and I'll add to the list. Extreme hills are the most awe-inspiring formations aboveground.
    2. Taiga. I like the snow and the view, and there's no extremely loud rain.
    3. Deserts. Flat and very nice in their own way. It might be the openness yet emptiness, combined with the way the sand and the sky look together. But they also don't have the obnoxious rain.
