Why do you want to join?:
I really love to play on servers with in depth lore, because I feel that this allows the characters to be more three dimensional. This server has that, and a good story idea.
What role-play experience do you have (if any?):
Well, I've applied for another server and got accepted, but they won't be starting pup for a while, so none on minecraft. But, I have played some tabletop roleplaying games, on and off for about 3 years.

Define Meta-gaming (keep in mind there are two types, OOC and IC):
In character metagaming is using information that your character would have no way of knowing (i.e. read in the lore). Out of Character meta gaming is using information about someones character to give them a hard time out of character. For example, if someone was De'asllo, and they were an atheist, you should not bully them out of character for being one in-game.
Define Power-gaming (there are technically 2 definitions, the other is also referred to as Power-emoting): Power-gaming is when you make an action, and automatically assume it will succeed, giving the person it will effect to time to combat the action. For example, saying your character stabs another character, instead of trys to stab the other character.
Define Role-playing: Role-playing is the act of stepping into anthers shoes, and trying to react to what ever happens to that person in game as you believe they would act.
Define God-modding: God-modding is when you make your character unreasonably strong, fast or "god-like". Merciful qin, your character can't fight off 20 highly skilled swords men by shooting their bow really fast, it just couldn't possibly happen.

Likewise, she keeps her black hair cropped to her ears. She is very strong, and is a born fighter, and carries two short swords she calls Slam and Shear.
Character personality: Lila has been raised to be very removed and analytical. She rarely lets her emotions dictate her choices, except when it is something concerning her honor or her family, in which case she is very hot-headed and likely to start a fight. She is very individualistic, and makes choices on her own, not usually going to someone else for help. She is socially uncomfortable, and which often makes her seem abrupt or uninterested.
Your character is sitting at a bar in a crowded inn. A bard strums his lute in the corner, while the rest of the inn drinks and sings along. "Sir, I'm sure I've already paid. You insisted I pay before you gave me my drink." . "When I say someone hasn't paid they haven't paid. Now give me my money, or get out!" The bartender snarls. Lila shrugs, then begins gathering her things. Her father used to say you could never win a fight with someone clearly unreasonable and illogical. The barkeep glares at her the whole walk to the door As she leaves he shouts another asinine comment. Something about a mangy mutt and a *****. Nothing important.
Your character sits in a tree at night, staring at the skies and thinking to yourself. You look down to the street below, and you see a woman being mugged at knifepoint in the middle of the street! What do you do?:
Lila glances down at the darken street, and is alarmed to see a struggle taking place in the dim streetlight. She rises to her feet, and slowly moves to the edge of the building. Quickly but stealthily, she climbs down the drain pipe, and then draws Slam out of its sheath. creeping up behind the man, who is muttering under his breath while looking throughout the woman's pockets, she presses the short sword against his back. "Drop the purse, and let the lady go, if you value your life." She hissed in his ear. The man freezes, his eyes widening, and he starts to run. Anticipating this, Lila dives for his feet, and catches his shins, knocking him over. The man struggles, kicking and punching, but Lila's iron grip holds. she transfers his legs to one hand, grabs the purse he clutches in the other and tosses it to the lady. But his legs prove to be to much for her single arm, and he breaks free. aiming a kick at Lilas face that glances off her left cheekbone, then disappears into the night. Lila stands up, to find the woman already scurrying away. She sighs, holds her cheek, then walks back over to the drain pipe and starts climbing up.

Born in the north forests of the De'asllo, Lila grew up with only her father as a parent, as her mother died in child birth. Her father was the head guard for the youngest king, and he was a skilled swordsman. Wishing for a son to pass on his natural talent for fighting, he taught Lila everything he knew about fighting, and guarding the king. She proved to have inherited his talent, and slowly became almost as skilled has he was. Unfortunately Lila's father had her late in his life, and he soon was to old to continue to do his job correctly. Lila and her father lived for as long as they could on his savings, but Lila knew she would have to get a job. She tried to become a guard like her father, but she found the Royal Guard to be prejudiced and they wouldnot accept a woman into their ranks. Lila hoped further down south would be more accepting, so she moved to Weyrest in hopes of finding a job as a guard. ON the way, her father died of a heart attack. Lila has currently just arrived in the city, and is hoping to find the job she has wanted for so long.

Ok my character is a japanese girl with short cut hair, and she always wears a blue jumpsuit, rather like the jumpsuit that people in the ISS wear. My life was a mistake, and my mother made sure I knew it every second of my life. I was born out of wedlock, and out of lust. My father was gone before I was more than an embryo and my mother was left with a baby she did not want. For the first eight years of my life we lived in a hut on Mount Ishizuchi. All of Shikoku was underwater, and every year, it seemed as though we sank four feet. I survived on fish, seaweed, and the occasional canned food that floated up on the shore. Then, when I was 8, we saw the paddleboat.
It looked like a deformed monster, out of some strange nightmare. The base was a normal paddle boat, but it was built up 30 feet out of the water. Stacks of huts rode on top of it, and people climbed up and down ladders on its sides. I was fascinated by it. Hww could something seemingly so heavy stay moving so fast? And it was heading right towards us. I ran to tell my mother.
A week later, we had moved onto the boat. A rough, smelly man had welded our little hut to the top of the ship, and my new life began. It turned out the ship was not powered by expensive gas. It was run by something far cheaper: Human labor. Down below the shacks, people turned the paddle round and round in 12 hour shifts. 30 people lived on the boat, and a quarter of them of them worked the paddle at a time. In return, they got food, board and safety. It was hard work, and not rewarding. What made it worse was my inability to speak english. Until I learned it, the barge was a hellhole. So I made friends. It was hard at first, but after 3 years, I was fluent in english. And I had someone I could trust. WHen we finally spotted the USS Defiance, I was ready to leave the barge, and move on to a ship run by fuel.
The captain told us that the Defiance was looking for volunteers. They were commissioned by Greenland, and just traveled the world exploring. He told us to be free to go, but if we did to “Never forget your old shipmates”. I said goodbye to my mother. I had no real connection to her and never had. Then I stepped on to the USS enterprise, and began my new life.
Rp Scenario (Two paragraphs, any scenario you'd like)
“Hmmm. Where should we put you? You say you’re strong?”
“Yes.”
“ You know how to cook?”
I scowl.
“I’m no common kitchen girl. I intend to do something useful.”
The captain leans back.
“Honey. You can’t fix things. You aren’t a doctor. You have no experience with farming. I can’t just put you at some high level, very important job with a skill set like that. Right now you have a couple options. You can cook, you can clean, or you can get off my goddamn ship.”
He sighs and takes off his glasses, and rubs his eyes.
My scowl deepens.
“Alright so I’m not exactly talented. But I learn fast. Give me a job I can rise out of and become someone important.”
The captain sighs.
“Alright. You can help out the engineers.. But I expect you to do well. And if you don’t, we always have room in the kitchen.”
My scowl disappears. I put my hands in my pockets.
“I won’t disappoint you.” I say. And as I turn to walk out the tiniest smile crosses my lips.
