Ever since I've played UnrealTournament(1999) serious ladder competitions I've turned bobbing off in all the FPS games I play. I need that silky smooth way of moving through the environment in order to shoot accurately.

Minecraft is very slow paced so accuracy really isn't an issue. It's just something that I have gotten used to after years of gaming :)

Saying words are just words is, in my opinion, a poor justification for bad language. Fortunately there are also servers where that sort of stuff isn't tolerated. We run a Small World server which is kinda Vanilla-ish. Yes it's basically a Bukkit server with a number of plugins to help prevent grief: Minebans, CoreProtect, NoCheatPlus. There is only 1 gameplay changing pluging: Lockette, which is also to prevent a lot of hassle for the moderators and admins.

For our team it's simply undoable to moderate the server 24/7. And fixing grief just isn't the way we want to spend our precious spare time.

When people have proven they are mature enough, which isn't age related at all in my experience, players get to play on our real Vanilla server. This server is plain Minecraft. No Bukkit, no plugins, just minecraft_server.jar from minecraft.net :)

Running a community where you can have a 'clean' Vanilla server with people that are simply fun to play with is a lot of work though. It takes quite a lot of effort to screen out players you don't want there.

Hehe, I didn't mean to make it sound crude :)

We enjoy it when someone becomes part of the community. People who just fill slots on the servers aren't very interesting imo. The people that do become community members eventually find their way onto our Vanilla server. There we have 'hoarders' (pun ;)) that gather resources other people use to build fantastic things. Most people there are long time members we've been playing with for over a year. If that sounds good to you, then you're welcome :)

We have a couple of servers you might like. If you enjoy hoarding, you might be interested in our Prison server. If you prefer a challenge you can try our Skyblock server. We're currently working on a Tekkit server, but that might be too much modifications for your taste :)

You can find our server list here: http://happydiggers.net/content.php?117-servers&tabid=37

We don't do much in the way of donations. In fact we closed down our only paid-for (Towny)server last week due to lack of donations and the fact that we didn't want to pay for it ourselves since we have several other servers we lovingly take care of.

Our Vanilla server is whitelisted. Access is usually only granted to those community members we've come to trust. People on the whitelist get to choose who else gets to be whitelisted. There's a thread about it on our forum. We try to post new titbits on the website daily to keep things interesting. If you become an active member, you can advance to moderator or even admin status. But those ranks have to do with trust more then anything else.

I hope that got your interest, and if it's not exactly what you're looking for, you're still welcome to drop by and say hello :)

We have a whitelisted Vanilla server. We usually only allow people we've known for a longer period of time and of whom we know they are nice to play with.

You could look around our servers to see if you like the people there and see if people will support your whitelist application :)

Minecraft.net, and a lot of other websites use Amazon cloud services. So if Amazon goes down, they take a lot the Internet down with them :(

p.s. I just dropped you guys a line on [email protected]
