Jun 17, 2011One thing I know is that it'll be able to run Minecraft at the Max Settings unless your telling me a AMD Turion Dual-Core CPU @ 2.3GHz and a ATi Mobility Radeon 5650 1GB is better than the CPU and GPU he's got in that pre-built.Posted in: Computer Science and Technology

Long grass has been found to be a cause of the lag spikes. He could also turn off the weather etc.
Unless this has been a given solution that will work for a lot of people, then yes, he should try it, but if not, then no.

I wouldn't go for it. There really isn't a reason for him to get that case on his budget. If he wants a full tower, he should get the HAF 932 or the NZXT Phantom or any fo the silverstone cases above $100.
True, where I buy parts for my computer here in New Zealand, they don't sell HAF 932's, so thats why I suggested a HAF x.

Enough for minecraft, not on the max settings but still. And if you aren't going to play anything else, then you shouldn't get anything more powerful.
I actually think this should run Minecraft fine at maybe Normal/Fancy Graphics. I don't think Minecraft is that demanding if I can run on a AMD Turion Dual-Core @ 2.3GHz and a Mobility Radeon 5650 at a Good FPS on the highest settings.

could you make a 32 bit of this? i cant run 64 without tons of lag :/
Honestly.. Having 32x32 Version of Bordercraft, wouldn't really look good. Your probably better off using something like Gerudoku or getting a better computer.

Well, my Dell laptop has an ATI GPU in it. Maybe they've had a recent change of heart, though.
Hmm.. Maybe, it's just that every computer I've seen on the Dell site either has a integrated Intel GPU or nVidia GPU..

I Like how this is not even minecraft related...
I like how this is a sub-forum that relates to Computers, Techonolgy and Science therefore anything that related to computers, technology and science can relate to here, which doesn't have to relate to Minecraft. So go troll somewhere else.
Jun 17, 2011Has it ever occurred to you that the people at Dell are nVidia fanboys?Posted in: Computer Science and Technology
I mean, a lot or even all of them (haven't checked all of them) have nVidia GPU's?
Isn't this a bit wierd, I mean why not a good ol' Radeon 6970 in the Alienware's or something like that?
