posted a message on Improved Spider Climbing
I've noticed that when spiders climb, they don't exactly look like the're climbing. A spider's most prominant feature is that they can climb on walls, but minecraft hasn't done a very good job of making them climb well.

Spiders should face the surface they're climbing on, and have an animation for when going from surface to surface.

posted a message on Speaker/Radio thingy
I want some kind of block that can take the music played by a jukebox, and play it elsewhere. This way, you could hear music of greater distances.

You could place this block in your house, and sync it with a jukebox somewhere else. You could create a radio station that everyone would use this block to listen to. Or, you could place this block in all the rooms in a large building, letting you listen to the song in all rooms in your house.

I'm still not sure what this block should be called, so if you have any ideas please tell me.

posted a message on Minecraft is growing in popularity!
I may not have been here since the begining, but I've been around a while, and I've noticed minecraft is growing in popularity, day by day. Minecraft has been populular enough so far to apear on TV, in youtube adds, and even bring about numerous internet memes. It is growing very popular. People hear about it on the internet, then they tell their freinds, and it spreads. It has something that other games haven't been able to achieve. Minecraft, is based on hard work, determanation, cooporation, and sometimes, grief. It has a feeling no other game has been able to get, which is why it spreads so fast. Once you convince someone to try it, they fall in love with it instantly. It's getting popular enough, that some corporations might even consider it a threat. We've witnesed this with the lawyers from Bethesda. The game isn't even fully realeased yet and it's already wildly popular on the internet. It's almost as adicting as WOW, and yet it isn't your standard MMO. I know why it's such a great game, because it has emotion in it. It pits you against awful odds, and yet we survive in it. We work hard to gather resources, and we build. Our work can be destroyed, leaving us upset. Somehow in a world made of 16x16 textured blocks, it can look beutiful.

This is more than just a game, this is minecraft.

posted a message on Creeper Tag Team Double Combo
One day while playing minecraft, I went out to get some seeds for a farm. Unfotunantly, I was careless, and I let a creeper spot me. While I was backing away from this creeper, another one snuck up from behind and exploded, bringing me down to half health. In my dazed and comfused state, the first creeper took advantage of the situation, and managed to take down the other half of my health. I learned a lesson that day. Creepers are excelent asassins in pairs.

posted a message on A good way to give players cloaks
    I'm thinking...

All mojang staff get an exclusive cloak.

People who attend minecon get a cloak.

Special Achievments get you a cloak.

Achievments should also be stored online. It's pretty nutty when I go on a diffrent computer and I gain the achievment again.

posted a message on User Codes
I have come up with a new idea for how a user account could work, and I want mojang to hear it first! This system will get rid of the need to put those pesky numbers on the back of your username all the time.

Each user would be given a user code, which identifies who they are. The user code is different for each person. This way, your username can be anything you want(minus profanity).

The login system will ask you for your user code, as well as your username and password.

When the cursor is moved over someone ingame, their user code shows up.

I know this will be difficult to implement, so to make the mojang staff's lives easier, I've already come up with a way to do this without interfering with everyone's accounts.

First, everyone who has a minecraft account will be assigned their user code.

Then, after all the user codes are assigned, they start being required on the login screen.

Finally, usernames will become changeable, allowing people to have number free usernames.

Don't worry about two people having the same username in a ban list or op list. Those would simply require the user code instead of the username.

As an alternate method, people could just be given nicknames that show up instead of usernames.

Please vote in the poll, if your unsure about something then post it below.

If you like the idea and want it implemented, please help by trying to get this to any of the mojang staff. I would be truly happy if my idea were to make into the real world.

Also, if someone could make a banner for me, that would be great. Thanks!

posted a message on Idea for a new type of ore.
Apparently Silverton, high grade sliver ore, is found high up in mountains from the Stoney Pass Gold Mines. So maybe this ore is some kind of odd sliver like metal?

posted a message on The Unknown Horror
For a while I was afraid of the endermen, but slowly, I learned more about them, and they weren't so scary anymore. I think if notch wants to create something we are all truly scared of, he needs to create some kind of unknown horror, a true mystery. Why do you think mankind is afraid of the dark? Because it's afraid of the uknown.

But it's difficult to create the unknown when so many people on the internet can dig up so much information. So what's my solution? make it's attacks completely random. Sure, you could dig up information on what it looks like, how much damage it does, or what loot it drops, but you could never know when it attacks.

You could either become paranoid, constanly preparing for the day it does attack you, or relax, and be unperpared for the day it comes. Both result in fear.

posted a message on The Nightmare
The nightmare is a very rare mob, and it can only be destoryed by a light level of 7. If it sees you, it will make blood-curdling screech, and chase you. It's appearence is like a wisp or evil spirit. Placing a light source close to it will kill it.

Perhaps doors could simply have dye applied to them? it would be less costly and would still allow for decorative value.
