posted a message on Why is Minecraft so overrated?
There is one, and only one true reason for why Minecraft is overrated. It is essentially a game of Legos, where you can build and destroy nearly anything and everything. This kind of activity is loved most by small children (which happen to make up a large amount of the people playing the game), whether they're six or ten or twelve or whatever. And what do small children do better then blow things out of proportion? Little kids will always have a 'this is the best thing EVAR' mentality, whether it's true or not. I'm sure more then a few of you remember an instance where a younger you was too fond of something to recognize it's flaws.

posted a message on Cat meat.
I do find it a bit funny that people go out of their way to say they don't support this simply because they find they idea of eating cats gross. Do you want to know something? I keep chickens as pets. In fact, I love chickens, occasionally I let them inside my house. But I still eat chicken, because if I didn't then every chicken who was ever chopped up and processed so that I could eat it would have died for nothing.

I don't exactly support this idea though, because if you want my opinion then cat meat would probably taste terrible. Like eating the distilled essence of some jerk who loves to knock your favorite lamp over all the time and mess up you keyboard while your tyinkergreping.

posted a message on Personal Resource Packs
Not so keen on people being able to change the sounds they make (though I still think it's a good idea), but what if you could change the way that the tools you use look to other people? It would be kind of neat if you were playing on the default texture pack, and saw someone running around with something like a lightsaber in their hand.

And just for the record, you handle criticism really well, I admire that.

So the vote on this is pretty much unanimous, why exactly isn't something like this in the game yet? As far as I can tell their isn't anything preventing the developers from coding this in. I understand patience is virtue, but haven't we waited long enough?

posted a message on 1.7 Pre-Release: "The Update That Changed the World"
Very much looking forward to the implementation of the Plugin API. I've wanted to get into modding for months, but I've been holding off because I knew this was coming. Looks like it might actually be here soon.

This would be pretty convenient. I've never liked having to close a chest and then open my inventory, simply to equip armor.

posted a message on Could someone create an Asymmetrical Skin mod?
Quite simply, I would like having a mod that allows the player to use skins that do not have mirrored arms and legs. It would add a great many more options for skinning.

It should be fairly straightforward. As far as I'm aware this should not be hard to code.

If any further information is needed, I would recommend viewing this topic: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/677984-refactoring-the-player-skin-for-added-detail-arms-legs/

posted a message on Displaying how much memory a world takes up.
Fairly simple suggestion. I'm pretty conscious about how much storage space I have left on my computer. I wouldn't mind if their was some kind of indicator of how much space my Minecraft worlds take up. Preferably this indicator would appear below the title of each world while your selecting one. It would show you how much space the world takes up, and how much space is left on the computer. Simple, right?

posted a message on Left handedness.
    Quote from turtleagldragon

guys, it kinda is useless. It makes no difference what so ever to gameplay. My suggestion is that one hand be faster while the other is stronger, that way it will actually make a difference.

That doesn't make any sense. Not only because it's not fair to left-handed people, but because in real life your primary hand would be both faster and stronger then the secondary one.

And remember, not everything has to be about gameplay. Sometimes people just like using their other hand.

If the devs aren't going to add this anytime soon, then has anybody made some sort of mod yet?

I've been meaning to add a robotic arm to the skin I use for centuries, but so far that's impossible.

I don't understand why this hasn't been implemented yet. It's been how long since we've been crying for this to be added to the game?
