It uses the spread players command, so it should spawn you in randomly. Try redownloading the map, pull the lever at the beginning, type /tp @a 1 62 1, then type /spreadplayers 0 0 200 1000 true @a. If that doesn't work, I'm not sure what will as the command makes it impossible for two players two spawn less than 200 blocks apart. I hope this helps.
This looks pretty cool and won't take as long as normal UHCs as you are pretty much forced to make contact since all resources are in the middle. The Vanilla Server I run is possibly considering making a series out of this map.
Yeah, the fights are probably going to be quite early on, while people cave. It would be awesome if you could run a server with this, and if you're low on players, you can add me - Thanks
Custom UHC maps are very rare, and hard to find. Few exist, and even fewer are good quality maps. This is one of the very few that you will undoubtedly enjoy. Welcome to "The Unforgiving Oasis"!
What is UHC? (for those who do not know):
UHC (ultra-hardcore) is when a group of players are spread out across a 2000 x 2000 block area. Your goal is to be the last person alive as players fight to their deaths or die by any other means. You also cannot regenerate health naturally (meaning if your hunger bar is 9+ bars filled you will not regenerate health), the only way of regenerating health is to eat a golden apple or drink health potions.

Rules:
1. Do not go over the bedrock wall.
2. Do not brew regeneration potions.
3. Do not break blocks in the lobby.
4. If you have died, do not interfere with the game (it is recommended to log out).
Server Settings:
1. Set the gamemode to Adventure Mode (for technical reasons).
2. Set the difficulty to Peaceful (again for technical reasons).
-If the difficulty is still peaceful when the game begins (should not happen) turn the server difficulty to Hard.
Recommendations:
1. Have at least 10 people play (unless you would like a quick game).
2. If you want a long game, set the time limit (if no one wins) for about 6 hours.
3. If you want a short game (again if no one wins), set the time limit for about 2 hours. Also play close to the middle.
4. When not many players are left, move in towards the middle.
Note: You do not have to do any of these things, they are just recommendations.
