I have worked on things like player alliances, WorldEdit API, Luckperms API, custom items, ect.

Our plans
We have just started the development of a survival server. We plan to start building a survival gamemode but then work out from there. Eventually we might start factions or skyblock, all of which will have a unique twist on them making them different than other servers that players may have played on. We plan to make our server as unique as possible, and have many creative minds to help us with this. That said, we do still require more staff.
Who we are looking for
Right now we are looking for any sort of staff, whether you are experienced in being a server moderator, are good with plugins, maybe you are even good at programming. All are welcome! However we are specifically looking for those who are skilled at building. Because our name is Aquaticraft, we will be specifically focusing on water/tropical builds. We want to create a place where players can have fun and never run out of things to do. We want to avoid pay to win and try to make the server as fair as possible. The Co-Owner and I are struggling with building and testing with the staff team consisting of just the two of us, so we have decided we are going to open up a few positions on the staff team.
Before I tell you what we need from our staff members, I am going to talk a little about our server. As I said before, we are a 1.13.2 skyblock Minecraft server, and we are running on Paper. I am currently developing a custom spigot plugin so we can make our server a little different than the so many other skyblock servers out there. We are starting out with just a single skyblock server for the purpose of saving money and resources but once we get a little bigger, we plan to launch many other gamemodes. We are hosted in US Central Time(CST). The jobs we are currently looking for are builder, beta tester, and admin/mod/helper.
Builder: From our Builders, we have a few expectations. 1) You must have decent experience with worldedit. 2) You must be able to stick to a chosen theme. Since we are a skyblock server and because our name is TropicalMC, we will need the majority of our builds to be islander style/tropical. If you apply to be a builder there will be a small application that you will have to fill out. Afterward, we will whitelist you on the server and tell you to build something. If you do well you have a good chance of getting onto the team.
Beta Tester: If you become a Beta Tester, it becomes your job to simply play on our server. Since we are making our own spigot plugin there will be times where we will need to test certain features. At first it might be kind of boring since we are so early in development of this plugin but the later it is, the more fun it will be. To become a Beta Tester you will have to fill out a tiny application and its pretty much first come first serve. Since Beta Testing requires little to no staff experience, we don't really have high set expectations. The only thing required of a Beta Tester is that they tell us if something isn't working correctly.
Admin/Moderator/Helper: Players of this role are required to help the server community, whether it be in discord or on the server itself. To fit this role you must have good leadership skills. They must be active on discord and make sure players are putting their messages in the appropriate text channels and to make sure everyone is treating each other well. The application for Admin/Moderator/Helper is the biggest and you are expected to fill out the questions with much detail as this is a very important role. If you end up getting accepted, you will start out as a Helper then work your way up the ladder. It is doubtful that you will get admin in the first few weeks as once you become staff, you are still being tested. If we don't think you are good enough to become an admin, you will stay where you are. If it turns out that something you said on your application was false, you will be demoted.

Why do I want to join: I have been in the Minecraft community for a very long time and I have seen how people are. I want players to have a good, fun time while they play the game while also having fun myself.
How can I help the server:
Creativity:
I have always been a good writer for one reason: I rarely ever run out of ideas. I have worked on other server communities and I have always been the go to person if we are at a standstill. I will almost always have ideas on how to make the server more custom and apart from other servers. An idea box is always helpful for a growing server community and will keep it alive for quite a while.
Optimism:
I don’t like it at all when a person finds the worst in situations. In fact, I am very passionate about making sure people can always find the bright side in every situation. Sometimes it is hard to find it, especially at the beginning of something like a Minecraft server when people get frustrated a lot, but every cloud has a silver lining and I wish to find it. It is impossible to live life out to the fullest when a person tries not to, or just cannot find the bright side to things.
Leadership:
I am a very outgoing and smart person and thus, I somehow always end up being the organizer and brains of the organization. I am often the one put in charge of setting up events because I make the most of the time I have so everything can be set up in time. Please do not take me as a cocky fourteen year old who just wants power as power is not what I believe leadership means. Leadership is about making sure all those involved in making something happen get along with each other and making sure everything gets done right and in time. Great leadership is essential in the creation of projects like Minecraft servers.
Kindness:
Side by side with optimism, I try to help people with server problems as well as real life social problems. There are infinite toxic people who will come onto the server and I hope to be able to deal with the people causing the problems as well as the possible emotional aftermath of the victim. Kindness may not be needed in server creation, but is a good trait to have in the workplace and in general.
Maturity:
I have been through many social problems which have caused me to know how to handle other peoples problems and also know the appropriate punishment for the offenders. I also know that Minecraft is a place to have fun but I know when things are out of hand and when enough is enough. Maturity is a definite essential in the creation process of a Minecraft server.
I say all of this because I know there will be many applicants who do not have these traits and I would like to inform you that I do.
Why you should choose me: I have lots of experience with staff and player punishments as I have been admin, moderator, and owner on servers before. I believe I would be a great choice for the administrative role because I am a able to work with people easily without causing problems and have experience enough to fit the role.
Why I am unique from other applicants: Some people want to be a staff member just for the power they get from it. I wish to become a staff member because I like working with people and I like helping people.
What would you do if someone was hacking and you were left to your own devices: Assuming I am the admin rank, I would take a video as proof of their offense and then I would tell them that what they are doing is against server rules. After that is handled, I would give them the appropriate ban time according to the server ban requirements.
What would you do if someone was spamming and you were left to your own devices: First I would warn them for spam and if they continue I would temporarily mute them for 30 minutes - 1 hour.
What times are you most often on and how much can you be on each day: Monday-Thursday 4:00pm-9:00pm Friday 4:00pm-2:00am Saturday 10:00am-1:00am Sunday 12:30pm-9pm
