Here are some mods that i would love to see for the latest Forge 1.9:
Camera POV: My friend gets really queezy when playing in First Person in Minecraft, though she really loves the game! I want a mod that could help her get a good blend of First and Third Person view. Something like the Shoulder Surfing Mod.
[UPDATE]: Okay, awesome news guys! I just looked on Curseforge, and somebody ported the Shoulder Surfing mod to 1.9! You can go onto the page by going to CurseForge (Or Curse, can't remember which...)
Environment Realism: This is a pretty broad term for what I'm looking for, so I'll keep it short and sweet. More textures for all animals, similar to the way Bunnies blend into their surroundings, and how Horses combine features. Also, Seasons! Summer, Winter, Spring and Fall. You should know what that means.
Solar System: I would love to see different colored and sized stars in the skies to go along with the Default. Something similar to what we all see at night. Also, a telescope/binoculars. I know you can do that sorta with Optifine, but 1) It's not out yet for 1.9 and 2) I really want an item that does this, not a button.
Knives: Yeah you know what this is. Something lightweight, very fast to pull out, and does enough damage to be reliable, but not as much as a sword.
Leather Handles: Wrap Leather around Sticks to make.... well... Leather Wrapped Sticks. I would love to see this in the game for Weapons. It would reduce the time it takes to draw your weapon/tool, and increase damage slightly..... ok maybe not that last one, but still.
Hunger/Saturation: I absolutely hate how 1.9 makes it where Saturation prioritizes your health over your food. The whole reason we even fill our hunger is to heal ourselves... But yeah, just switch it back to 1.8 mechanics.
More Tools/Weapons/Armor: I would like to see Redstone (Uber fast draw-time, but not much damage. Similar to Gold), Lapis (Stone-like draw-time, higher enchantability than Gold), Prismarine (Does twice as much damage if used Underwater, and is twice as slow when used on land), Quartz (Idk about this one... Maybe its strong against Ghasts?), Emerald (Dunno about this one either... Maybe just add it in for variety. Or maybe Villagers will give you better loot for the Armor instead of the individual Emeralds), Netherrack (Very soft. Softer than Gold, but lights entities on fire! Also has a quick draw-time), and Obsidian (Very, very, very slow draw-time. Like 3 seconds. But very powerful). I would also like to see the Strength potion be used to not only increase damage, but decrease the draw-time!! They should have added that part into vanilla!!
[UPDATE:] Ok, just looked on PlanetMinecraft, and I found that somebody made a mod similar to this! It's lacking in variety, but it's a good mod so far! http://www.planetminecraft.com/mod/armorplus-mod/ Go request weapons if you really want what I listed in this post.
That's it for now. If you like these ideas, lemme know! Spread the word to as many willing modders as you can!
huh.. I guess you're right. But that's probably just because mod developers aren't submitting there mods to them. Also, Not many 1.8 mods have been updated since that time.
On the contrary, the list isn't updated, but the forum thread is. A lot of people submit 1.8 mods in the comment section, but half of the mods for 1.8 haven't been submitted yet. Oh, and there aren't any 1.8 mods on that 3rd website you gave me. None that I can find.
The item texture issues have been fixed in 1.05. Wood armor doesn't really make sense and I'm going to do my best to avoid altering vanilla recipes. Obsidian will still require double smelting just to make it so it isn't too easy to obtain, being as common as it is. Prismarine tools and armor is an interesting idea and I'll see about adding it into a future release. Thanks for the bug report and suggestions!
Nice update. I think Wooden Armor is a good idea for Dummy Armor. Like, it makes you not lose health when attacked by wooden weapons, but still loses durability. Anyways, I might make a new texture for Horse Meat, since it looks too much like Mutton in my opinion.
Do you think you can add Wood and Stone Armor, and Prismarine Tools and Armor to go along with it? Also, change the Cobblestone Tools recipes to Stone instead of Cobblestone? Oh, and two more things: 1) Make it to where Obsidian Tools/Armor are crafted with Obsidian instead of Smelted x2 Obsidian. 2) Please fix the item rotations in 3rd Person View. I hold the swords like I do an item like Eggs, not like a normal sword.
Dude.... tf were Mojang and LEGO thinking? Nobody's gonna buy this when it's the same cost as a damn laptop. Drop the price down to $20 and I might buy these plastic cubes. Otherwise, happy bankruptcy LEGO

This is a request/idea thread for mods. I'm sorry to say that I don't mod Minecraft. If I knew the basics, I would jump right on it, but I don't...

Okay, that's great. Can't wait to see it finished

Go through the last few pages of 1.8 mod submissions here and you'll see that you're right.

Yeah, this is cool. Textures need some work, though...

The first two links are outdated, haven't been updated since March 20th. I've been there before, but not the 3rd link...

How have I not seen this mod before? We really need a better way of finding 1.8 mods...
