Hello all, and welcome to NomadCraft! I’m Caesar, one of your friendly admins on the server, and I’m going to, in my own pedantic way, give you an overview of what to expect here.
Getting Started
Firstly, we are a hardcore PvP server, complete with raiding and griefing, but don’t let that deter you! You will not be attacked until you’ve reasonably established yourself, unless you provoke a fight. Once you’ve built up your own power, feel free to challenge anyone.
Clans
To gain power quickly, I recommend building a clan with either some friends you recruit, or just with people you meet on the server. (If you already know about clans, skip to the next paragraph.) Clans are a group of individuals who work together, can share a home, and are unable to PvP each other; similarly, any clans they ally with are likewise unable to PvP with them. Unlike with factions, there is no land protection associated with clans.
Market
We have a functional market economy on the server, available through a warp sign at spawn. The Admin Shop will buy your iron, gold, and diamonds to give you some money, which you can then spend at the various player-owned shops in town. Once you get $400,000 to your name, you can buy a shop of your own from one of the admins, but, if you’d rather take the fast track to your own shop, you can donate to the server (see below).
PvP
Anywhere outside of the spawn and market are free game for raiding, griefing, and PvP. Since there’s no protection, I recommend that you hide your base well, to prevent unwelcome guests.
Tournaments
We hold weekly PvP tournaments in several styles: 1v1, 2v2, and 8 person free-for-alls. The tournaments are held on Fridays at 3pm, 4pm, and 5pm EST respectively, and the winner of each receives a commemorative set of chainmail armor and a diamond block. Donations are always welcome, and are required to keep the server running; to return the favor, we offer the following perks to our donors:

Rules
We have a few rules, to maintain fairness on the server, and to ensure basic decency.
1. PvP, Raiding, and Griefing are all allowed. Please don't complain about it unless you have reason to believe it was done via hacks or other forms of cheating.
2. All modifications and/or hacks are prohibited. This is to ensure fair play for everyone.
3. X-ray texture packs are likewise prohibited.
4. Do not use exploits, such as duping or glitching to places not normally accessible.
5. Do not exploit chunk lag or errors to find ores or bases; this will be treated as an x-ray.
6. Do not kill noobs at spawn.
7: Racism, sexism, and other forms of harassment are prohibited.
8: Please keep cursing minimal; it’s permitted, but don’t overuse it.
