    Superminer has always been in my standard 'must haves' along with Journey Map, JEI and WAILA.

    Don't know how anyone can play without it - very many thanks.

    If you’re planning on just getting what you need from the Overworld and on moving on to the TF as soon as, and you want a pre-made City, this seed may interest you.

    You spawn in the Overworld next to a Village and Extreme Hills, so you’ll be able to stock up on Ores and Diamonds quite quickly. Not much else really close by.

    If you build your TF portal at your spawn point you will land in the TF on the border between and a Snowy Forest and a Mushroom zone where you’ll find the pre-made city.

    There is a Naga Maze a short distance south from the City.

    There is a Labyrinth a short distance north.

    It'd be cool for a multiplayer with everyone having their own inter-connected rooms.

    Just started with this mod, finally made my portal and entered the Aether. Just setting up a little base camp before exploring in earnest. But .........................

    1. I read there is no dark night in the Aether until you kill the Sun God. I most definitely have black sky nights, and haven’t killed the Sun God (I only just got here!)
    2. Crafting: When I craft a door using Skyroot planks I get an Oak Door. (I did make a new Crafting table using Skyroot Planks).
    3. Crafting: I read that Holystone is the equivalent of Cobblestone, but I can’t craft a furnace using Holystone.

    OMG I totally missed that bit about shards - now making myself secondary crystals.

    I've been doing that but now it's on Crystals I don't have yet - I only have the Primals I've mined.

    I finally got the epiphany yesterday evening and was able to construct my goggles (for which I had correctly remembered the recipe, but just couldn't make them until I unlocked it), and suddenly now I can get Artifice cards. It's not clear to me what tipped me over the edge. I had 41 Artifice observations at that point.

    I don't have an Infusion Matrix yet. Oh I am so confused. I feel really dumb.

    I played Thaumcraft a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it; my favourite of all the mods I’ve played, and there have been many :P

    Returning to MC after a long absence I’ve dabbled around with mods I’d not yet tried, but TC was calling to me, and when I saw there was a revamped version, (and I’d forgotten how to play it anyway), the next step was obvious.

    So I set myself up on 10.2 and downloaded Thaumcraft 6. I LOVE this version, it seems more refined and logical, and for someone with a short attention span, that really helps lol.

    I just want to thank you Azanor, for making my MC experience such a fun and rewarding one.

    In lieu of a response from someone who knows what they're talking about ...... my only suggestion is uninstall Java and reinstall making totally sure you are installing the correct version, i.e. Win 10 64 bit or Win 10 32 bit.

    Updating your driver was a good move.

    In my experience, Java not responding is usually down to those 2 things.

    Good luck - hope you resolve it soon - so frustrating for you.

    UPDATE: I should have been more patient - all settling down now.

    If you hadn't posted a reply I'd have been fiddling around with earlier versions and installing Optifine and all sorts.

    Just want you to know how helpful it is to have had a response.

    Ender IO. It has a Farm Machine that plants/harvests which works fine with Magicl Crops.
