The rest of the world came back when I loaded a 2nd time...but as it loaded with ... oh, 30 or so sheep and just as many cows... I figured to play nice and start over...
So now I had a file that didn't matter to me.
Went up onto the roof of the world and discovered it was covered in animals. Was something to see.
I've got a lovely picture of .. well, I'll jokingly be saying that a creeper blew up so hard it ended the world. From spawn, towards the cave, and to the left, all the chunks, down to bedrock, up to the sky, and far into the distance, just gone.
Whoa, I've talked here enough to remove my posting restriction... wild.
Ok, so I've just watched the dev comentary, and the "diamond armor chest" ... we all know what's really in there *cough* but being that it uses an older one with a restone output path, to the launcher...
honestly, I wanted to hear him talk about the launcher, I really did.
I've seen it used in vids, it looks very helpful, but when I spin the scroll wheel, I can turn it over and over, and sometimes it will move one block, sometimes it'll move two, but never more then that.
It scrolls well enough in notepad, but it's random in game.
hopefully I can just post the word's "Vagrant Story" here, and hope that the most epic of cityscape games influences fallen kingdoms. I'd love to wander across a horribly trapped iron maiden side path....
Nha, wait a few mods until there's a way to dispence lightening, or bottle it, and THEN we'll see them... fireproof, speedy, regenerating, lightning struck creepers errupting out of magma from a double rack of super spawners.... all around the victory monument when a BUD attached to the existance of a diamond block goes off...
It is a lag reducing mod that can allow you to fine tune things a bit more and it can allow you to ZOOM IN!!! By pressing left control you can zoom in and if you hit f8 it will go out of cinimatic mod and into the normal camera.
cool, I could use less lag.
Wiki's got dirrections I'm sure, thanks for the name.
Now, I think I've made it clear I'm a total noob... so where do you think I should start from the huge list of maps... what ones are working in the latest versions, and of those what's a good starting point?
1. How long have you played Minecraft?
About a week.
2. Location
New England (PM for more specific)
3. Age
30+ (PM for more specific)
4. Amount of time you spend playing weekly?
14 - 20 hours
5. Do you have a mic/use TeamSpeak?
Mic, but rarely used
6. Have you ever been banned or kicked from a server?
Nope, you are the first I've ever wanted to join.
7. Pictures(if any) of your greatest builds and/or any other info about yourself you feel like sharing!
I'm looking to do something that matters more then being able to die on a chalenge map, or make something in single player that only I will ever see. I want to take some distant, lonely, ugly corner of the world and make it beautiful, something worth seeing. Something worth making.

We need a mod that will unzip a fresh copy of a hardcore map at the push of a button.

Any ideas?

You are just lucky that he can't put lightning creepers into spawners, without using mods.
