You're so gracious, letting the person who will house your server have any rank. On the server they own.

No one is making "copies" of Minecraft. Minecraft does not own the idea of a block based free building world. Notch himself admitted that Minecraft was "inspired" by Infiniminer.

Either a mod freaking out, a map that requires something special freaking out, or a chunk error that's tripping balls.

Pretty sure his mother would simply call her credit card company and state they were unauthorized charges. She would not have to pay anything back. The money would be taken from the recipient (The server) and given back to the mother. She'll probably keep a better eye on her credit card next time and the kid deserves an old fashion dose of corporal punishment.

If you live in the US, the police can find you because your username is hooked up to your address when you paid for your Minecraft, so the US government can suspenoa the records from Minecraft which is now owned by a US company called MircoSoft, so MircoSoft will have to do as told by US Government. Secondly, I really don't think you can be in trouble or have to pay the money back. Your best bit however is to talk to an attorney. Also, if the police contact you, it's just to question you to see how they can punish the kid that bought you the rank, but again, I suggestion talking to an attorney about this matter instead of asking on the Minecraft forums about the matter, @daantjuzz1. These forums do not have attorneys on them and I know from living in the US that it is illegal for anyone other than an attorney to give legal advise on these type of things.

I wish you the best of luck and I really do not think you can get into trouble. Later.

You're assuming he paid via a credit card. Prepaid visa's are not tied to addresses. Minecraft cards are not tied to addresses. If he was gifted, it is not tied to his address. Nothing that has transpired has broken a united states law, and thus Microsoft would not be obligated to do anything. The money didn't go to Microsoft, it went to a private server. Minecraft and Microsoft did not get any cut of that. Telling this kid to talk to an attorney is absurd.

If you want to give advice, that's fine. But trying to scare the kid with false facts just to sound like you know what you're talking about isn't going to help anyone and doesn't look good on you.

No. The police have no idea who you are. The most they would know is your username, which is not tied to your phone number or address. You are fine.

No, you do not need to pay the money back. The money will be charged back to the credit card, so whomever accepted the payment will need to give it back.

You didn't break the law. He was the one who used the card without consent. If anyone is going to get in trouble, it's him. At worst, you get your rank revoked. You broke no United States law (if that's where you're located, I doubt it's different anywhere else.) You're fine.
