Hehhe, I was only kidding when I said "cow farts".

I think that Global warming is just another cycle just as the ice age was.

Climate change is a cycle, and the Ice age wasn't a cycle, it was the cause of climate change, a period of intense cooling followed by small episodes of what's known as "interglacials" or warming. Just as methane and carbon dioxide are part of climate change today, it was part of how the Ice age came into being (other factors were also attributed to the Ice age, just pointing these out). Which is mostly why I don't understand how people don't believe it to be true.

If you want to make a poll or a topic in an attempt to discuss politics, its usually preferred if you don't side with any one party, even if you strongly believe in it. Always question everything, that's how we have come this far.

OP: I believe your reasoning behind believing only Republicans as being "smart" would be the unconscious decision that we tend to migrate towards similar persons with similar interests, not that they truly are "smart," not that they aren't either. I've seen intelligence from both parties, and from all kinds of cultures. The truth is people who tend to stick to a party also tend to bandwagon with their ideas and concepts, making them not so "smart." This goes back to my earlier point about questioning everything.

Methane would be no problem at all if it wasn't for our ability to industrialize just about all methods of it being released. Cows wouldn't be so plentiful or gassy if it weren't for the way we feed and protect them.

It's more commonly accepted as global climate change, mostly because the Earth is cooling in some areas as well as warming. Back to the topic, I do believe it to be real, as most scientist agree it is as well.

To everyone citing UFO's as being as "believable" as climate change, I remind you that a UFO is just that, an Unidentified Flying Object, the name tends to explain itself. If someone believes in UFO's being real, well I think it's obvious that they aren't lying, they just couldn't identify the object at the time.

posted a message on Incest and Trannys in Minecraft
    Quote from zertech

So i was playing minecraft today and was doing some animal breeding, and it occurred to me that a single offspring would reproduce with both its mother and its father.
This made me realize that Incest has been added, as-well as all animals being some sort of miracle tranny that has a fully functional set of both male and female reproductive organs.

Sure it makes for faster farming but do you think animal gender should be added, and perhaps an anti incest feature?

Minecraft isn't realistic, there is no gender for animals, or for the player for that matter. It's a sandbox game, with survival elements, you tend to have to roleplay everything else.

chance it could go to either ender or skylands by random.

damn it notch just tell us already

That would be an interesting idea. Hoping to go into the Skylands and ending up in the Ender realm next to a group of Enders surrounding you. Yep, I'd see the fun in that.

well Notch is basically trolling us right now. the frame is air blue colour and called air portal in .jar file. but repaired by eye of ender and we have the black goo that looks like it would be for ender. but with no way to light the portal it could go either way ender or skylands

It could always be a double portal, allowing the use of both the Ender and Skyland realms.

Yeah as the previous poster stated, Notch included information stating that there will be an "Ender Realm," we can only assume that, that is the portal leading to it.

posted a message on There is a difference between hard and cheap.
Combat is more entertaining now, it isn't a gimmick Mojang made up to make the game difficult for no apparent reason. A cheap method to increasing difficulty would be to buff mob damage, nerfing player damage is at the least under our control. I'd rather do less damage, but be able to survive more hits then have a mob hit me a couple times and die. That is by far the cheapest way they could go about "fixing" things, which I'm glad they didn't do.

On another note, I do support the mob health bar, or damage text idea you proposed. That would certainly give some insight to how the combat is fairing. I'd hate to fight a boss and NOT know how much longer the battle may take, I find that extremely unpleasant.

posted a message on Minecraft... What Happened To You?
    Quote from intel_ix

Yes, but some people may have sat in mines all day long, and only visited the surface once in a blue moon, or in a castle, etc. That is why these people do not like the update.

I understand, though I'd tell them to prepare beforehand. If by Survival notch meant being able to survive without any sustenance while exploring, he probably would have never implemented this system. It makes sense in the grand scheme of things, as annoying as it may be. Then again, mining all day 'n' night shouldn't be the cause of the distress, same as you can't stay in water too long or you will drown, this allows the survival element to pervade into all aspects whether it be mining, underwater, or in a castle.

It's true, but now you have to eat food or you take damage. You can't just "not use food".

I don't like that not eating can cause you to take damage, but it isn't difficult to kill an animal and cook it for food. It's a bit of a pain, but not game-breaking.

Sorry, but you seem to forget that HEALING WITH FOOD WAS TURNED OFF.

I don't see how that's an idiot reaction. I was only stating how the fact any percentage of people here may agree with something, does not mean that the same percentage of people agree among the entire minecraft fanbase. Before you call someone an idiot, please increase your intuitive abilities so that you notice simple things like that.

It's so sad that this forum is entirely unmoderated.

Technically you still heal with food, the process though is slightly different.

Yes let's all petition for minecraft to go back to it's first beta release when Mac users had problems logging on. When there was a working item dupe glitch. When we all witnessed the first time Minecraft had tooltips. When SMP servers were basically unplayable. And when Notch had announced Lanterns, then realized he couldn't. Ah... Yes the good ol' days.

    posted a message on [Closed] ☆ ☆ ☆ SUPER-EARTH ☆ ☆ ☆ The Original Minecraft Community ☆

Where are you from?: FL, US
    Your age?: 20
Have you read and agreed to the rules in the post below? Yes
Did you vote for us? Yes
Extra notes?: I've been pretty bored with Minecraft recently, mostly because of the lack of people to either talk, hang out, or just play with. I enjoy building, and everything else that minecraft provides, but without someone to share it with, it tends to go unnoticed, or is just not nearly as entertaining as it should be. I used to host my own server, much smaller than Super-Earth, but it was a community nonetheless. That community kept me coming back, kept me wanting to advance the server, entertainment-wise, and security-wise. Eventually though I had to let it go, mostly for personal/educational reasons, but I definitely would like to be able to go on to a server and have a community to be able to share, and adventure with. I for one see the multiplayer experience in Minecraft much more satisfying than its single player counterpart.
How did you hear of Super-Earth?: I was looking for a server, and happened to see the topic.
